  • Are you a B2B marketer looking to improve response rates? Here’s our biggest tip: Understand the difference between personalized and personal content. B2C marketers understand this distinction. When you go to Amazon, you’re greeted by name. They show your location. That’s personalized content. It’s basic. But they also show recommendations based on your recent browsing. This is personal content. It’s highly relevant to the problem you have now and is sophisticated. B2B marketers are still stuck personalizing emails. They reference your name and your company in their emails. That said, the marketing team should know the content you've been looking at on their website. Why not send more content related to your browsing history? Personal content is helpful to the buyer journey. Helpful content accelerates the buyer journey and improves conversions.
