Congratulations to Ashley Walls Farish, our sales team 2023 DigOps Spotlight Award winner. The spotlight award is awarded to sales support employees for going above and beyond. Nominations are made by fellow team members and leaders. Quotes about Ashley from her peers: Ed Bourn: "Not many people have the experience & empathy of sales having had that role for so many years before becoming a Sr. Campaign Specialist. Ashley can manage the minutia of digital campaigns/reporting, and socialize (or party like a rock star) with our clients. They love her for her personality, and her "always-willing to go the extra mile" for a client. She shows that extra value of the AMG relationship. She's always willing and able to dig into the data to make the report or help make a sales presentation link back to the client's business goals to help close (pitch) or show AMG's value (campaign review). Finally, she is a true cheerleader for our team, or anyone at AMG she works with. Always smiling and trying to contribute or add value." Kamala Burks: "Ashley has been an extremely valuable member of our team this year, and specifically, extremely valuable to me. Ashley is always ready to assist both myself and our clients with any issues or inquiries they may have. She is knowledgeable and brings multiple ideas to our regular Campaign Reviews. She stays on top of our campaigns (she was a rock star when it came to getting our client’s required Google verification!) She listens carefully to their ever changing needs, constantly looking for ways to optimize their campaigns. She has received numerous praises from our clients, who appreciate her helpful attitude." Whitley McAlister Cain: Ashley is the most positive light of anyone I have ever worked with at AMG. When things are overwhelming in sales, you want to work with Ashley. She is diligent and isn't afraid to raise her hand to get the answers our clients need. While she is intelligent and hardworking, she is also just as fun. She is always a part of the best days at work, and she makes the hard days better just by being herself. Ashley is authentic, supportive, and just a wonderful person. She is great internally with support and also wonderful with clients. This quarter we have all of our big renewals for the year and several of our accounts have new decision makers. She has rolled up her sleeves and gotten in the trenches with me in every way. There is no other Ashley, and we are fortunate to have her at AMG.

Congratulations to Sara Lovett, our sales team December Spotlight Award winner. The spotlight award is awarded to sales support employees for going above and beyond. Nominations are made by fellow team members and leaders. Quotes about Sara from her peers: Michelle Pauldin: "I am nominating Sara for the December spotlight award because of all her work to get the Birmingham hub open. Planning for this move began in September. You name it, Sara has been involved. Coffee, trash cans, office supplies, the plastic fork you need to eat lunch, signs for the conference rooms, the list goes on and on. Sara has spent countless hours working with vendors to secure new office chairs, patio furniture, white boards, and a storage solution. If you need a key card or parking card, Sara can get that. Looking for mail? Sara took care of that. Sara has been working from the new hub every day since mid-October keeping things moving along and working with the building owners on a variety of issues. Everyone is looking forward to having a beautiful and clean hub to work out of, and we are now able to do that in thanks to Sara!"

Congratulations to Sarah Cagle, our sales team November Spotlight Award winner. The spotlight award is awarded to sales support employees for going above and beyond. Nominations are made by fellow team members and leaders. Quotes about Sarah from her peers: Sarah Glenn: "We just wrapped up her fourth full month with AMG, but it feels like she has been here much longer. From joining and leading report reviews with new-to-her clients, to continuing to service her own account list, I am so happy to have her on our team and wanted to recognize how she has helped out so early on in her time at our company." Cale Webb: "Sarah has done a great job of immersing herself in her job. She has stepped right in and provides great reporting and insights for client reviews. She is doing a great job, and the recruitment team is lucky to have her."

Congratulations to Brooke Epps, our sales team September Spotlight Award winner. The spotlight award is awarded to sales support employees for going above and beyond. Nominations are made by fellow team members and leaders. Quotes about Brooke from her peers: Wayne Emerson, TMP: "In the short time she has been with us, she had gained the trust and respect of all her clients (most of them with complex, six-figure campaigns). She has brought new insights to our campaigns' analytics and reporting, streamlined processes internally and externally, recommended optimizations we have not considered before that improved campaigns, worked directly with clients on social creative development and targeting. I could go on. She's a bona fide rock star!" Becky Ward Mason: "While new, Brooke has managed to become a key member of all my accounts she is responsible for; I don't know what I did before she came. Everything she does, makes me and Advance Travel and Tourism look good. Somehow, she also keeps me on task and focused, which in itself, is a huge accomplishment. So thankful for her experience and her interactions with all my clients - and they all love her!!!!"

A team of journalists from AL.com earned a Scripps Howard Award for their reporting on the town of Brookside and policing for profit across Alabama. John Archibald, Ashley Remkus and Ramsey Archibald earned the award in the Local/Regional Investigative Reporting category from the Scripps Howard Fund. Working with AL.com investigative editor Challen Stephens, the reporters examined abuses by the Brookside Police Department and identified the worst speed traps in Alabama. “It’s an honor to be recognized for work that mattered to the people we wrote about, the people whose lives were turned upside down by a rogue police force,” said Stephens. “It’s not often in journalism that you see such uniform outrage from both sides of the aisle and witness such clear and immediate remedies.” Read more at the link:

Several members of our staff were in New York this week to receive Pulitzer Prizes. AL.com was awarded two Pulitzer Prizes, one for a year’s effort exposing and stopping a predatory police force in Brookside and a second for columnist Kyle Whitmire's year-long exploration of how the myths Alabama tells itself about the past still shape the state today. Congratulations to all of the winners and nominees!

Congratulations to Ashley Walls Farish, our sales team August Spotlight Award winner. The spotlight award is awarded to sales support employees for going above and beyond. Nominations are made by fellow team members and leaders. Quotes about Ashley from her peers: Ed Bourn: "Ashley is on top of campaigns. She holds me accountable when I panic too early, "We've only been running this new strategy for 7 days! Give it time to optimize!", but also because of all the hats she has worn at AMG, she is amazing in front of clients. She's constantly searching to increase her knowledge on digital products to support the sales team, but to also deliver better results for client/partners." Chelsea Crawford: "Ashley's been a huge help with me when I've had any questions or needed anything whether it's an account she's managing or not. If she's not the right person to help with whatever I've needed, she always makes sure that I'm able to get in touch with the correct person to help me get the answers that I need."
