26% of adults in the United States are impacted by some form of mental disorder. Anxiety disorders affect 18% of adults aged between 18 and 54, and depressive disorders affect 9.5% of the U.S. population. (Source: Mental Health Foundation) The percentage of women who are suffering from a major depressive disorder is almost double compared to the number of men. All of these mental health problems increase women’s risk of suffering from drug and alcohol abuse. These issues affect women and their families every day. The Agape Network is here to change that.
