  • Our Superintendent, Chris Gdowski, is excited to speak on a panel discussing the future of education funding and innovation at this year's Solutions Summit at #ISTELive on June 23! With ESSER funding expiration on the horizon, coupled with unprecedented learning acceleration needs and a teacher shortage, our market is at a pivotal point. • The Firefighting class at FutureForward Washington Square has been working hard these past few weeks. They have been going to the North Metro Fire Training Center and practicing the skills they have been learning. Live fires can be scary, but these students suited up and went in! Live fire training is vital because it provides realistic experience, develops essential skills, reinforces safety protocols, familiarizes individuals with equipment, builds confidence, allows for immediate feedback, promotes teamwork, and teaches adaptability—all crucial for effectively responding to emergencies. Thank you to everyone involved in supporting these students! #ELEVATESuccess #FiveStarProud

  • School Nurse Day is this Wednesday, May 8th. Since 1972, National School Nurse Day has been set aside to recognize school nurses. National School Nurse Day was established to foster a better understanding of the role of school nurses in the educational setting. School Nurse Day is celebrated on the Wednesday within National Nurses Week. National Nurses Week is May 6-12 each year. Please take time to recognize and thank your School Nurse! #ELEVATESuccess #FiveStarProud

  • Every year, students from FutureForward, the district's career and technical education program, participate in the SkillsUSA State Competition. At the state competition, SkillsUSA students hone their hands-on skills against current industry standards in more than 130 occupational areas, from 3-D Animation to Welding and nearly everything in between. At the same time, they develop the transformative career-readiness skills — teamwork, communication, professionalism, leadership and more — that fuel career and life success. This year, FutureForward had 58 students compete at the state competition — 34 from the Washington Square campus and 24 from the Bollman campus.
