Today is Tourette's Awareness Day... A day dedicated to raising awareness and understanding of Tourette Syndrome (TS). 💚 Tourette Syndrome is a neurological condition characterized by involuntary movements and sounds called tics. It can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, or background, and the severity of tics can vary greatly from person to person. Living with TS often means navigating a world that doesn’t fully understand what it means to have tics. Many people with TS face misconceptions, stigma, and bullying, which can impact their mental health and self-esteem. That's why awareness and education are so important. As a community, we can help by educating ourselves, spreading awareness, and showing kindness to those who live with TS.
