  • Web design agency Non-Linear Studio was approached by healthcare company Atria to create a healthcare experience that felt welcoming and human. With luxurious locations in NYC and Palm Beach, Atria wanted to draw high end clients to their practices while promising a zen-like clinical experience. To see how, in an unconventional but genius move, Non-Linear approached the project more as a hospitality site than healthcare and earned both the 2023 Best in Show: Websites - Website Features - Best Use of Video or Motion Graphics and 2023 Gold: Websites - General Websites - Health Care Services, head to: https://bit.ly/3RnwbKu

  • Hiya, Lauren Angeloni again! I suspect many of you have heard from me this week as we’ve been excitedly touting some upgrades we’ve made to our winners’ galleries. If you’ve won an AIVA award, check your email for links to your projects (check your spam!). If you haven’t (yet) won, just go check out the work of our amazing winners for inspiration.  I’m always doing that and highly recommend. : ) Now let’s get into it… This week’s points brought to you by the thievery and pillaging of our AIVA Jurors’ Linkedin feeds: First off, I spied Matt Dean enjoying a super fun video #shorts series by Allan Peters wherein he redesigns logos-in-need (UPS being the most recent beneficiary). Go down the rabbit hole for more quick and impactful redesigns. Sometimes, jurors unite… this week I saw Kelly Ricci had Phillip Collins as a featured guest at an event hosted by Banana Republic (at their new SoHo Flagship location) & Native Son to celebrate #pride and the influence of Black Queer Art. (this one is blatantly self-serving) Juror Dominic Lawson may be promoting soon that he is to be my next guest on AIVA Live: In Session! That will be up in a couple of weeks and I’m excited for a fun conversation with this busy podcaster who is certainly no stranger to an interview. Come with good questions! Keep your eyes trained on the indefatigable Tiphany Kane, M.Ed who is (with KaSa Media Productions and life partner David Sais) building a Dolby Atmos Mixing Studio in the OC! The plans look fantastic and I can’t wait to see (hear?) how it goes (should be late Summer/early Fall)! Ambert Rodriguez of Wheelhouse.io posted a story this week in The Impossible to Ignore newsletter about “The One That Got Away” (detailing the early lost-opportunity to bring on pre-pandemic Zoom as a client). I’m sure many of our community can relate and have their own ‘ones that got away’ (i’m curious… throw them in the comments!) Speaking of the ones that got away, this is the last Talking Points that is assisted by our social media manager, Chiara Nicole Gero. Chiara has landed an opportunity she can’t pass up and today is her final day. Join me in wishing her the very best in her next chapter. She has only been with us a short time, but she’s made a lasting impact on our program. Thanks for everything, Chiara! I’ll see the rest of you next week (or in the Winners’ Galleries sooner)!
