I prefer mix of transformational and democratic style . I have implemented and found it very useful and successful. While opening institutions back in India , where I have to work with different teams , I use to first motivate my team by setting goals and celebrating success . Starting point is to listen their views , ideas , strategies and then implementing them using their skill sets . This gives them a confidence , you have established a cord and then it’s easy to talk about desired changes . Once trust is established, team is feeling valued , bringing change or to start talking about it will be heard and honoured
With a chosen leadership style in mind, begin to implement change gradually. Start by setting clear expectations and goals aligned with the new leadership approach. Provide training and support to help team members adjust to the changes and understand their roles within this new framework.
