The quality of content available on many of the peer networks is below par, non accredited and usually has a hidden fee. They are mostly video based, do not adhere to eLearning standards like SCORM and have no feedback mechanisms or thin feedback mechanisms. I have personally found that if you are not looking for a certification, many alternative mediums actually offer better content including some social media networks, video platforms and plain old google search. The challenge is to find an authentic source of whatever you are looking for.

The more you create ownership on your feed, the more productive content you will access. Be intentional and get away from "doom scrolling". Choose tools that create a feed based on your interests - do not delegate this task for social media algorithms - their goal is your engagement on their ads. Your goal is lifelong learning.

You can aggregate content via platforms like feedly. You might also want to consider using google news tags. More and more I’ve seen generative AI and specifically copilot to help run prompts which you might choose to test out. If you have a LXP (learning experience platform) in your organisation, these platforms can also help better curation of learning content in areas of interest.

They offer many advantages, among which we can mention flexibility, comfort, real-time interaction with experts, which facilitates the resolution of doubts, the exchange of ideas, a more dynamic, participatory and even asynchronous learning environment. This new era requires information through different channels, this is where webinars and podcasts offer us detailed information on specific topics that for e-learning turns out to be an almost obligatory element to understand and create. The themes can be from the simplest to the most complex and allow the listener's attention in an important way since they refer us to the interest that we need. A clear example is undoubtedly searching for current news, even very detailed topics that allow the student's development

O dilema sempre será a originalidade do material gerado e a acurácia do texto. Mas nada que a aprendizagem da IA não resolva com o tempo.

Depending upon what you wish to pursue or study, it might be a better idea to avoid generic content providers or MOOCs. Instead try and look for subject specific players like Meducination or Psychology World or Maths Guru or Royal Societies or similar other players. The biggest advantage is that you will get industry focussed content and certifications, which also helps add value to your CV or get you a job.
