I've come to realize after 11 years in a professional setting that you can do something "great" every once in a while, and it still, in the long run, won't live up to doing something "good" consistently for long stretches at a time. If you are truly wanting to be unique in your approach to recruiting and networking understand that occasionally going to a virtual event, making a few new connections, or commenting on a post on LinkedIn is not going to yield you the results you are probably searching for. Don't be afraid to step out-of-the-box, don't be afraid to fail every once in a while, but most importantly, don't forget to commit with some regular consistency. Be uniquely you and do it EARLY and OFTEN!
