I'm actually not a fan of gamification to drive engagement. Ideally, your organization's values, mission statement and purpose for being are so strong and well-articulated that there's no need to "gamify" any metric at all - let alone sales metrics - to motivate anyone. If you're considering a gamification approach to drive performance perhaps it's time to take a deeper look at your approach to overall team engagement. Is everyone clear on the organization's purpose? Do your team members' values align with those of the organization? And how are you, as a leader, positively reinforcing and displaying those values on a daily basis?
