Learning from user behavior data is just as important as asking them for feedback. Once in my career, we crossed the detractor's NPS responses with data like recurrence and average tickets. We discovered that people who gave the worst NPS had more recurrence and spent a lot more than the promoters, which led us to believe that people who respond to our surveys are more engaged ones. This is just an interesting story, but what I'm trying to say is that: holistically look at your customer. Not just declared data, but behavior as well.
