The first thing to tell yourself is that it is completely normal and that everyone's career takes a hit now and then. Nothing in nature blooms all year around. Then ask yourself, if this is an opportunity, rather than a hit, what would you do? I think reframing the 'hit' as an 'opportunity' will make many more options available/open to you.
