Me parece super importante ya sea para una feria de artesanías o cualquier tipo de feria, tener muy claro a que vas, cuáles son las conexiones que te ayudaran o a las que tu puedes ayudar. Y una vez estando ahí es super importante, interesarte de una manera real en lo que estás visitando, conectar con los expositores, hacer preguntas, tratar de aprender de ellos o bien aportar lo que tu sabes y crees que pueda agregar valor. Y después de la feria, dar seguimiento con algún correo mensaje de agradecimiento por las atenciones recibidas.

Según mi experiencia se construyen relaciones desde una real simbiosis entre las partes. As a past craft fair vendor, I can share that crafters often have a significant network and they genuinely want to help others. This is a great place to build your business network (and get your gift shopping done too). In my experience, it's best to show authentic interest in the product being sold and ask questions to express curiosity. If you're solely seeking business connections, choose vendors who will compliment your services or may have common connections (you may have a service or product they can use). Avoid taking the crafters' business cards and spamming them later. Make a real connection and if there is a valid reason, then connect and create a reciprocal working relationship.

You can help facilitate introductions from one exhibitor/vendor to another. Many craft fair exhibitors (as well as business expo exhibitors) usually do not have the ability to visit the other exhibitors. When stopping by to visit an exhibitor, ask and take note who they would like to meet as a 1) customer, 2) collaborator and 3) supplier/vendor and why and how would they like the introduction, (in-person, text, email). While talking to others, if they seem to match any of the criteria of one of the other vendors, offer to make an introduction right then and there using the preferred method of communication.

I had a booth at craft fairs for 8 years and I had numerous conversation just keeping it simple. Compliment others genuinely and remember that every conversation is not a business transaction.

Having exhibited in quite a few fairs, your networking starts before you even set foot in the fair. I would always reach out to the exhibitors a few days before hand to introduce myself and let them know my stand number. I will also email the organisers to ask them to send any interesting people, including press my way. I also ask my fellow exhibitors if they are looking for specific people or buyers so I can send them directly to their stands. After the fair, send emails to everyone you met and be specific about a particular detail of their product or stand that impressed you.

I've been more careful about rating people based on how I feel, their outward appearance or what they can offer. I deal intentionally but my best support system came from seemingly less likely people.
