What is better is to find a mentor and know HOW to write and create your own winning CV and cover letter.. Then engage with recruiters and people in the organisations that you are targeting to assist in introductions DO NOT delegate your job search it is your responsibility to manage the process. If you are unsure how to do it well get a career transition coach, a good mentor or a trusted recruiter. Better yet all three.

So you have chosen a recruiter (or a few) as your delegated partner to find a role. My number 1 tip here is to check in with them regularly to stay top of mind. Don't become annoying and harassing if they don't have a role right now don't just rely on the one recruiter you MUST network with many in your chosen field. Cast the net wide and have options as opposed to harassing the one recruiter all the time. Lastly a good recruiter will have YOUR best interest in mind not just there's so if they don't have something they will make intro to other recruiters they trust too
