SEO is a constantly evolving topic. The short answer from my experience is yes you need to focus on SEO for Search Engine success. Do not employ any techniques to try and "shortcut" SEO. Doing a holistic approach is better. Holistic in this context means do everything you can to improve your SEO such as show your Authority on websites like LinkedIn, publish links to your website in as many high quality places as possible, stay up to date with the latest trends and more. It's not about getting 1000s of backlinks if none get traffic or are low quality. Getting a single backlink from a great source that actually gets traffic and clicks is worth a lot more.

It is necessary to cultivate new SEO talent by helping beginners to understand the basics. A leader SEO must help beginners with how they can do SEO which is purpose driven than just traffic driven. You must help them to know how they can help brand get traffic which actually converts. And for that it is necessary for a leader to help others how they can identify right target audience for the brand which will eventually help target right keywords and help user get what they wanted which can eventually help you convert. Along with that, the new talent must also know how they must coordinated across teams weather it's content, tech or UI/UX team.

I personally have had to adjust my focus and adapt to the changes around me. I have recently become disabled and no longer able to physically work. So my main focus had switched and focus on looking to education to gain success in a career I can still feel proud of. I have no degree at age 45, even though I have been in management most of my career. It was due to making it my main focus to living a successful life. When I was able to work as hard as those with 4-6 years of college and all held degrees, because I busted my ass and kept a decent focus to keep going. Resilient is a word I have been called many times as I have overcame things like cancer, abusive situations, and CRPS. My journey is not over, just goal post is not the same.
