My favorite pieces of customer intel are: 1) Pains These are how their problems manifest in the present, such as struggling to lose weight. 2) Fears These are how their problems manifest in the future, such as being afraid they'll never find a romantic partner. 3) Trigger moments These are day-to-day events that "trigger" them emotionally and bring their problems to the forefront, such as stepping on the scale or going on dating apps. 4) Ultimate Desire This is their vision of Heaven where all their problems have been solved. Knowing what the finish line looks like is critical for writing copy that converts.
