Nothing is known for doing things differently, and the release of their latest smartphone is no different. The Nothing Phone(2a) was released on Tuesday to several countries around the world, including the United Kingdom, India, and the United Arab Emirates, but the US was notably left off that list. The phone has been completely redesigned and features a custom Dimensity 7200 Pro processor and new Glyph design but the same semi-transparent housing and monochromatic-themed operating system as its more expensive cousin, the Nothing Phone 2. Nothing Phone(2a). Nothing The Nothing Phone slid into the smartphone scene in 2022 with the Phone (1). It captured everyone's attention because of the Glyphs, or lights, on the back that could be used for aesthetics but also served a purpose for notifications. The same design holds true for the Phone (2a), but now the Glyphs have a new design with "15 innovative functions." In addition to the Glyphs, the front camera has been upgraded to 32 MP with a dual rear camera (the main camera and an ultra-wide camera) that is 50 MP. The phone (2a) also has a 5000 mAh battery that Nothing promises will provide up to 29 hours of video playback with a 50 percent charge in 23 minutes and a 100 percent charge in about an hour, thanks to the 45W charging speed. And, of course, it's still running on the customized Android operating system that Nothing has gained so much attention for. As for availability, the Phone(2a) is available for preorders today in the UK, India, and United Arab Emirates, with special #THE100Drops events happening in London, Delhi, and Dubai. It will cost you £319-£349 (€329-€379), and shipping begins March 12 if you don't manage to grab on at the Drop event. If you're in the US and you want to get your hands on the Phone(2a), you'll need to be part of the Developer's Program and be using the T-Mobile network. If you meet those two requirements, you can get your hands on one for $349. Was this page helpful? Thanks for letting us know! Get the Latest Tech News Delivered Every Day Subscribe Tell us why!
