I remember my third grade teacher saying, "If you’re going to be a meteorologist, you better learn how to spell it."

I've been fascinated with weather all my life, and the Midwest is the best place to experience and forecast severe weather, snowstorms, dry and windy weather, or just exceptionally cold air and nothing else, and I love it all. I've had the pleasure of knowing how often we get to ride the weather roller coaster since I was born and raised just south of St. Louis, where I'd regularly put together my own forecasts growing up.

I'm currently studying atmospheric science at the University of Missouri with the goal of obtaining my bachelor's degree. Mizzou and Columbia have become my new home. It's just a short drive from the Missouri River and the state Capitol, and there are highways in the four major cardinal directions, which always provides new experiences.

When I'm not working or in class, I'm out experiencing the weather, no matter what it is. Dancing in the rain, biking in the sun, building snowmen or kayaking, I make all weather work for me.
