(CNN) - There was a mystery in Nevada and now, there is another mystery in northern Colorado.

A monolith has been found at a spot north of the Horsetooth Reservoir and no one knows how it got there.

It’s a mystery that has people stopping by to see it.

“It’s something different, right? Something you don’t always see,” one visitor, who didn’t provide their name, said.

Whether it’s the spectacle or the mystical, the monolith has a certain pull.

“We are into the mysterious and so we decided to come and get the kids and take a look at it today,” another traveler said.

People are drawn to it.

“I know they’ve been popping up around like Utah and Nevada,” one visitor said.

And they want to know who built it and why.

“It’s just very intriguing to us,” another unknown visitor said.

While it’s fun to believe that it could be extraterrestrial, visitors have noted evidence that it’s man-made.

“There’s concrete poured and like bolts to the ground, it seems pretty human-like so I’ve out ruled the possibility of extraterrestrial installment,” one traveler said.

Another visitor said that it possibly is someone’s way of catching the public’s attention.

Otherworldly or not, the monolith is enchanting, captivating travelers.

Some have pulled over on the side of the road to take pictures while drones flew overhead to get a closer look.

“Very shiny, it reflects light very well,” one visitor said. “A little bit smaller than I was expecting.”

Some people even hopped on the fence to check it out with their own eyes.

While the purpose of the monolith may never be known, its impact has already been known.

“We’re intrigued, beyond words,” one traveler said.

Or maybe its mystery is the meaning.
