Using link to Sheet form instead of Forms form to get user input

Good day everyone.  I am new to Workspace, especially App Sheet and Forms.

We run a small transport business of which I manage scholar transport on weekends between homes and schools. It is a private charter arranged with parents. They apply and if we have seats available they onboard and then "book" a seat from or to school or both or none, every week, via Whats  App group messages.

Currently I have a Android database app I use to manage the arrangements. Once bookings are closed for the week I send out  a schedule to the group with pickup times at schools and ETA's at hometowns.  Now I  moved this functionality to a Google sheet with 10 tables. The idea is to send the group a link to a form every week on which they themselves can do the bookings (with access through email addresses.)  So far so good. I have read that I should be able to filter/limit each parents list of children in the security options to only their own children.

A quick review of my tables:  Children Info, Schools, Hostels (linked to Schools), Bus Stops (all which are Lookup fields in Children Info table), Parents Info (linked to Child via Parent-Child table for Many-Many relationships), and some other for checking purposes such a Home Weekends (schools close earlier) and Term Dates.

I need to create a form where parents indicate bookings , with options To Home, To School, Not on Bus, as well as requests for friends going with or laundry to be picked up if child is not on bus. The responses are sent to a Passengers table along with the dates of both trips (calculated), child's school/hostel, bus stop (looked up from Children Info table) etc.  Data from different tables thus. And this is my problem.  Google Forms can't do that.  I need to create this form in Sheets (and add a sub form with all the responses so far), then send a link out for the parents (which will be a new link every week.)

Hope someone can help.

Is this possible? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like this may be sufficiently complex that Google AppSheet (https://about.appsheet.com/home/) might potentially be a better option that Google Forms/Sheets...
