Google Innovators Query

Hi all, SIgned up for a course via a link https://cloud.google.com/innovators/getcertified, advertising free certifications with the "Get Certified Program 2024. I'm worried that it's potentially a scam. Recieved emails from [email protected] with links to "go.cloudplatformonline.com" (seems to be owned by Google) and asking me to allow emails from "[email protected]", when I hover over the email - it's another hyperlink to go.cloudplatformonline.com. I'm a bit suspicious as I noticed a grammar mistake in the email and I can't seem to find the program online through a google search (I can find Innovators but not "Get Certified Program 2024"). Is anybody able to help me verify if it's legitimate? Thanks 🙂

Thanks mate 😊

Hi Distractedhawk, I also signed up for the program and I also suspect it is a scam. Searching on Google, I managed to find the 2023 version of the program but I didn't find anything special.

I saw several people talking about delays in the program's schedule, but I can't confirm whether it's fake or not.

Thanks hyogia, same really. I keep getting invited via email, and they're all poorly formatted with grammar mistakes.

Just recieved an invite which is just terrible formatting. Couldn't see google sending something like it out at all.

Links leading up to cloudplatformonline 100% a scam. Do not click, might lead to data theft, virus or a nasty scam.

I am getting 2-3 daily phishing emails from them and I have had enough. Why can't google do something about google.com marked phishing emails. I was initially just reporting these emails as phishing email which seems to be doing nothing apart from sending a domain wide warning email to my team. I thought they are reported to Google or something... Now I am reporting them as spam and blocking senders, I will also try to create a filter to block this domain name.

They pose to be google cloud consultants, employed by google. Apperantly none of them has a linkedin account which is not normal my friend working as a janitor at google has a linkedin account showing off his badge every 2 posts 😄

Plus why would their links lead to another web domain and not to google.

100% scam. Block them.
