November 21, 2023Keeps drinks cold as expected—I would love to use this with iced coffee, but alas I don’t drink it during the colder months. However, I did test this side by side with a non-insulated bottle of the same volume, added the same amount of water and number of ice cubes, and the Hydro Flask still had plenty of ice in it after the non-insulated bottle’s ice fully melted. in practical terms, this means I’ll be able to fill my Hydro Flask with less ice and more iced coffee, and still expect it to stay cold during the time I’m drinking it. Also there’s no need to worry about condensation forming on the outside, so you can set this down on surfaces that you would usually need to protect with a coaster.
The straw is pretty convenient—I own a few silicone straws already, but rarely think to use them when I have a beverage around the house. Having it built-in makes it easy to use, and the straw is already in position to avoid clogging while still minimizing the amount of your beverage that gets left behind.
Relatively minor drawbacks—the handle itself is perfectly comfortable, but a full drink plus the weight of the Hydro Flask is not something you’ll want to hold for an extended period of time (as I found out when taking it for a walk). My hand is big enough to hold the Hydro Flask by the body instead of the handle, but if you have smaller hands that may be harder to do. You will want something to clean the straw (it may be dishwasher safe, but my dishwasher is not up to the task of cleaning it), and the bare coated metal bottom can be a bit noisy when setting it down on hard surfaces.
The minor drawbacks listed above honestly would not stop me from buying this Hydro Flask for myself, but I do think they’re worth taking into consideration if you’re buying it as a gift for someone, as they may not know that there are accessories or that the 32oz size is likely a better option for most people—more is not always better! It keeps your drinks cold, it looks cool, and it’s not much bigger than a regular non-insulated bottle.

May 31, 2024In a world dominated with travel tumblers branded starting with a letter S, I read a big east coast city's Times review on best leakproof tumbler and they said that Hydroflask was the winner. So I said, everyone is carrying that other brand as a fashion statement, I want function. When I saw this limited edition color with its pink swirls, I said, "perfect". It's beautiful, it keeps my drink icy cold even overnight, and I really, really like the silicone straw rather than a rigid one. I have a (perhaps irrational but then it was on some episode of a fire/rescue drama my mom watches) fear of somehow falling or hitting a bump in the road and having a rigid straw pierce the roof of my mouth. The soft straw is comfortable and it flexes easily to my mouth when I'm driving, avoiding having to tilt my head in any weird way so as to momentarily shift my eyes away from the road. It fits my little cup holders in my Bronco Sport perfectly with the handle well above the level of the cup holder so there's no wobble. It sits squarely on my desk without being too top heavy so I don't worry about it tipping, and the press on lid is very secure. The straw is long enough to stir my sugar-free flavor drops into my water, and it is indeed encouraging me to drink more on a daily basis. Water, that is, not liquor. It's my job that encourages the latter (I kid, I kid). Anyway, you can't really go wrong with this design, I might order a second one in another color and have it engraved. And buy extra silicon straws, this one is pretty sturdy but I'm a straw chewer so who knows how long it'll stand my chompers. (The small bottle boot was purchased separately from Hydroflask.)
Great 24 oz Tumbler but Small Boot not small enough. . .

July 6, 2025I love 💕 all things Hydro Flask! And I'm really grateful that a 24 oz size is available in the travel tumbler. I'm petite and the bigger sizes are too heavy and clumsy for me. I would give the item five stars if it weren't for the poorly fitting boot. The small boots don't really fit the 24 oz travel tumblers. Whenever I pull my tumbler out of a cup holder, the boot stays behind. This is kind of annoying, especially when my hands are full. And occasionally the boot just falls off when I'm just carrying the tumbler. (Hydro Flask--Please make a slightly smaller boot to fit snuggly on the 24 oz travel tumbler and my rating with increase to five stars. 😊) All in all, though, this tumbler and Hydro Flask items in general are amazing!
[Incentivized Review] An Excellent High Quality Tumbler

November 8, 2023This is the best tumbler I've used. The ergonomics are perfect. It felt equally great being used on the move and while relaxing. Everything about it feels very high quality, from the finish, to the straw, to the stainless steel lip (If you happen to use it as a cup). The straw goes down almost all the way to the bottom, leaving very little liquid at the end. The straw is very comfortable at the lips and is made of a soft silicone, which feels pleasant to drink from compared to hard plastic. I have the 32 oz version, which is as large as I would go if intending to use it on the move.
The lid is leak proof enough to a point where you can carry it full at a 45 degree angle by the handle without any spills. This is essential because walking with it upright using the handle isn't the most comfortable for prolonged amounts of time. It also fits perfectly in a car cup holder if you choose to drive with it.
I found myself drinking more with this tumbler around and even used it at home more than I thought I would. I used it for both hot and cold drinks, where it maintained the temperatures very well.
The one aspect I found lacking is that there is no included flip lid. This makes it impossible for you to drink hot liquids in the car since you won't be drinking through a straw. I realize they sell this as an accessory but I feel it would have made more sense to include it in the package.
