Quite possibly the worst shaker bottle out on the market right now and I’ve used shaker bottles anywhere from an extra throw in item from Amazon to just the typical blender bottle. Wanted to invest in a solid bottle for workouts and I really liked the indigo color of this hydro flask. This is 1000% not it.

Right when I received it, either by their engineering, slight breeze, or just a ghost, the top would randomly pop open. I’ve had this bottle open randomly when I’m carrying it, when it’s in my backpack, or even when I’m just driving around and not touching it. Doesn’t matter, it’ll just pop open whenever it feels like.

Second, I hand wash this item exclusively and a random rubber band popped out of the hinge. I’m pretty sure it’s to help with opening the bottle. I had no idea how to fix it and threw it away. The cap just flaps about now.

Finally, it leaks. Without fail it’ll leak. I have the gasket perfectly tucked in the inside of the cap, leaks. I torque down the cap onto the bottle. Leaks. And when you’re using a bottle and actively shaking it as a prime function of the bottle itself, it’s infuriating.

Skip this bottle. Get anything else. 1 star for the fact that the hydro flask container itself is cool, but wow — they missed the mark with the top by a mile.

I’ve also reached out to Hydroflask previously to let them know about this problem and never got a response back.

I needed a shaker bottle for my afternoon protein liquid snack and thought that HydroFlask would be the best (as they are for my coffee, tea, water, kitchen needs). I bought the color that was on sale. It looked good out of the box but the supposed "stainless" mixing ball is poor quality and doesn't do the job as it should. The container itself is awkward to hold in your hand and very heavy. The lid and drinking mechanism and silicon ring are awkward to clean and awkward to drink from. This is the very first Hydro Flask purchase that I regret.

This bottle helps me avoid having to bring multiple bottles when I go to work - I use it not only for my protein shake, but water refills and even make my daily matcha tea in it (note: the bottle says it’s not designed for hot liquids, but I actually prefer my teas iced or warm, not super hot). The original lid was leaky, but I called hydroflask and they quickly sent over a replacement lid which is working out great. Really appreciate how quickly they addressed the issue, 5 stars!

LOVE IT! This shaker bottle is much better than any others I've tried. The wide opening and lid construction make it very easy to clean (lid even has removeable seal ring with a tabby to easily grab it). The insulation is pretty good and kept my shake cold for at least 30 mins on a walk in 80 degree weather, so off to a good start there! Color is great, handle is large. Definitely recommend!
