May 15, 2024Seriously, this thing is so Heft, so Fire, so Fine, so Quality, I expect it will survive any fracas from Global Warming, Asteroid Impact to The Götterdämmerung. I Absolutely Love My YETI 64 oz Water Bottle. It was a splurge for me, and I am glad I choose to treat myself. I consider this an investment. I have been a Water-Holic all my life. I don't like to be without water. I have a sturdy 36 oz plastic reusable but decided it was time to go Higher Tech and buy a bigger bottle, with Awesome Reviews. This one meets my needs. Sturdy as all get out. Tight seals. No funny taste. Holds cold longer than you'd think. Easy clean. Heavy when full, but not awkwardly so. I expect to have this for the rest of my life, and when I'm dead, whoever inherits this sexy blue, stainless steel bottle with warranty and replaceable parts will count themselves Lucky! Oh, and I even love the colour! Thank you!

August 11, 2024I recently purchased a YETI water bottle with high expectations, given its reputation for durability and performance. Unfortunately, it has not lived up to its promises in terms of keeping drinks cold. I will fill it with ice and water and within two hours, the ice melts and the water is not cold. I expected better temperature retention from a brand known for its premium insulation. While the build quality is robust and the design is sleek, the lack of effective cooling performance is a significant drawback. For those prioritizing ice-cold beverages, this bottle might not be the best choice. There is a portion of glass on the neck and maybe that’s why it doesn’t live up to the quality of my other Yeti products.

May 12, 2023Overall great bottle, but cap seems to be designed to break.
The two part cap Is made out of one translucent Lexan type material, which is extremely sturdy, hard, and with a high measure of toughness (that’s an actual material science term). The second part of the cap Is made out of a much softer kind of black polymer with a large handle, but a very small thread. With time, the black part of the cap Seems to undergo what’s called creep deformation, which is the result of prolonged stress over a long period of time. In this case, it’s about 2 to 4 months. As you screw the cap on, it will slowly screw down further and further, until you eventually strip the threads all together. When you couple that with a very large handle, in comparison to the size of the thread, the amount of torque that you apply to the cap Is far greater than the thread can take. This is not caused by misalignment or user error, this is what’s called planned obsolescence. The cap is designed to eventually fail, so you would buy another one and another one every few months. I hope yeti decides to actually change the design, bottle caps are really not new technology, we know how to make them last a very long time.
By the way, if you store soda or hot coffee or tea, deformation will be accelerated.
Yeti, it’s time to send everyone a new redesigned cap for free. That would be the decent thing to do.

May 16, 2024What I like best is the chug cap. I don’t know how they figured out the perfect-size opening to guzzle water, but here it is in the chug cap and it’s available for purchase.
I fill my bottles with water that has been kept very cold in my refrigerator. This isn’t a scientific comparison, but the Yeti doesn’t seem to keep the water as cold as one of my other bottles does. I need ice in my Yeti. Still —the chug cap trumps the other bottle’s mouth so the Yeti wins.
One other thing. The Yeti is so fat it can be hard for me to hold the bottle with one hand. I can hold the bottle at the somewhat narrower neck, which works for me.
