April 8, 2025Bought a new 40 oz to replace the 32 oz hydroflask I’d used everyday for YEARS…the quality difference is astounding! After just a few months, my new water bottle is covered with dents and HOLES in the outer steel layer. The edges where the steel has separated gave me a big cut across my palm. And the plastic top broke too! My old hydroflask never looked this bad, even after YEARS of daily use. I tried contacting customer support, but their replacement policy doesn’t include engraving. And if the color you purchased isn’t in stock anymore, they can pick another color for you. Really disappointed…would’ve found another 40 oz bottle if I knew the quality had dropped off like this (not to mention I wouldn’t have paid for the engraving if, less than a month later, I needed to replace the whole bottle!).

November 29, 2024I love Hydroflask and have many bottles and mugs (probably about 30). The bottle is absolutely fantastic. But. . . I really HATE all the new caps. The ones on the wide mouth bottles have to be all the way forward (on a diagonal) so when I reach for my bottle, I have to twist it around in my hand to drink from just one spot. On older models, the straw would stick straight up so it didn't matter how I picked it up. I could drink from any side of the bottle I wanted as the straw was in the middle. And then that flappy strap. . . don't like it. I used to be able to just grab my bottle from the one very stable handle that was embedded into the cap. It wasn't in the way either like this flappy one can be. On the older cap, the handle part was off to the side (it was part of the cap). It was perfection. Now in order to drink, I need to move the handle down to the side, lift up the straw and put it all the way to the front. Then twist the bottle in my hand to drink from that ONE spot on the bottle that allows me to drink with the straw to the side. It is so very disappointing when a company has absolute perfection but they feel like they need to change something. Not all changes are good ones.

September 17, 2023Hello everyone! Recently, my 40oz Limited Edition Hydro Flask of 4 years started to condensate on the outside of the bottle, as the insulation stopped working. I have owned Hydro Flasks for years from their cups to the different sizes of bottles. I keep purchasing them because I love the style and the brand. When I went to their warranty page, it was easy to fill out what happened. I received a response the same day telling me to go to their website and pick out a new color so they can send me another 40oz replacement. The colors were limited at the time and I wasn’t the biggest fan of going from my ombré blue and green HydroFlask to a gray replacement. However, 2 days after I placed my order for the replacement, they had dropped new colors and I loved the Agave. I was bummed it happened but I let it go and waited for my gray bottle to come. However, after a month I never received the bottle so I called customer support. A nice lady answered the phone and after I told her what happened, she apologized and quickly looked into it. She told me she was going to throw in a free boot since the bottle never shipped, a label was only created and was going to overnight the new replacement. I asked her if I could switch my color to the Agave and she said as a courtesy she would do it for me. I was more stoked than anything else and honestly didn’t care at that point that it had taken over a month to get the bottle I wanted. I am a lifelong Hydro Flask owner because of how the brand cares for their customers. I highly recommend this water bottle, as I work 2 jobs and take it everywhere with me. I always tell my coworkers and other people about how great the company is whenever they comment on my water bottle. Buy this product!!!

October 27, 2023I purchased the 40 oz Wide Mouth with Flex Straw Cap. Here are some great things about it. 1. The amount of liquid it holds is perfect for the days you decide to go on a hike with your friend but your friend doesn’t understand that you’re a couch potato and therefore the hike she does 3-4 times a week, is killing you, so the amount of times you have to stop and drink water to make it through… it definitely holds the right amount. 2. It keeps the water super cold, when you put in cold water and then put the container in the fridge! I’ve noticed the water stays cold for the whole day. 3. Easy to take apart and clean
Things I’m not so fond of, 1. The water container is heavy, empty. So it is even heavier filled. Just something to consider. 2. Doesn’t fit in cup holders, it would be great if the same size container was tapered on the bottom to fit into standard size car cup holders. 3. The straw spits when filled, (or refilled) and flipped open. So just be careful around phones/computers or other electronics as a bit of water does come out of the flex straw.
Overall, I do love the water bottle and use it daily.
