I was worried that the bottle would be too tall (as mentioned in a few reviews) but I honestly love it. It is tall, but find it functional and not too far off from my huge 1.5 liter bottled water that I tended to carry like my security blanket lol. I use it casually, to and from work and sometimes on the weekends. I absolutely love the orange color! I have gotten a few dents on it but I don’t mind. At the time of this review (3/9/24) the bottle boots for this version has been released! So happy to add the accessory and I think anyone interested in this size/volume amount would be very happy with this purchase.

This was my first experience with a Hydro flask bottle and being that they are quite pricey I waited for them to go on sale. Originally ordered this one but the 40 oz bottle for my needs was too big. The bottle fit in the cup holder of my CX-5 SUV but was almost 13 inches tall. Nice bottle and the trail series is nice and light compared to the regular bottles. I ended up ordering the 24 oz wide mouth bottle and it was more to the size I was looking for. When filled with water its a bit heavy but not an issue. I have the straw lid that it came with and ordered the regular widemouth lid too. The only sort of negative that I can say so far is that it didn’t keep my water cold for 12 hours as stated. I filled it with cold water from my Brita in my fridge. Water was cold. It remained cold and cool for 6 hours. I suppose if you added ice it would stay colder for longer, but I never got the 12 hours that they claim. Like I said its a small negative because its only 24 oz and I normally drink that amount before it would get cool or even warm. If you want a larger bottle that still fits in the cup holders than this is the one for you.

I'm really not sure what happened to hydro flask. We've been customers for almost 10 years, and really only had to replace our old one this year that we bought in 2014. These new lightweight ones grow bacteria within a day or two, making the water taste like onions even with diligent DAILY hand washing. They seem to keep an odd smell. They they do not keep ice. I don't know if the new design changes this, but we can fill ours halfway up with ice and within an hour, it is all gone. With the old design we had from 2014 we could leave our bottles in our car with ice in the Arizona summer heat and come back 2 days later and still have ice!! We are very disappointed as we purchase 4 of these for our household and have already had to throw one away due to smell an inability to keep ice from melting.

A little tall but that helps it fit really well in the water bottle holder on my backpack. It almost looks like someone pattern it after the plastic smart water bottles that are so popular with hikers... I love the weight. The color is amazingly beautiful I hardly want to cover it in stickers. So far I am loving everything about this bottle.
