[Rewarded Review] a repeat purchase!
Esther C.· Review provided by hydroflask.com · December 16, 2024
I purchase this bottle last year for my high school athlete son . He likes that the month of the bottle is not to big to spill all over but wide enought to chug. It is good size too to last few hours. I like that it is easy to clean. For this year, I customized them (very easy process) for my nieces in same age group for Christmas. One of them opened it over the weekend for early Chsritmas present -- she loves the customized etching design with her name to personalize. Perfect gift idea since everyone needs to drink somthing. !
Good insulation, awful durability
Ryan· Review provided by REI · June 25, 2024
Really wanted to like this water bottle as much as possible, but its construction is just not meant for anything beyond something that sits on a desk for its whole life. Keeps ice longer than just about anything else I have, but I'm throwing it away after only having it for 6 months because of how thin the aluminum is that it's made of. I've dropped this bottle twice just getting out of my car (think 3 feet high, maximum) and it looks instead like it's been run over by a car, not dropped from one. If you're going to baby it and give it a soft, plush life and never drop it onto anything but pillows it'll be great for you. But I use it daily in every environment, and it just isn't durable enough for the little accidents life throws at it.
Love the bottle, hate the cap

I’ve had hydro flasks for a long time, and was very excited to get my new water bottle. I love the color, and it insulates very well as per usual. This cap is less than ideal though. I’ve had it leak, and the bottom part gets so tight from tightening the top that it’s a huge struggle to get it off, and the bottom part is smooth, so you can’t get a good grip on it. Right now, I actually can’t get the bottom part of the cap off so I can’t clean it well. If the spout was off-center I don’t think this issue would happen. I love these bottles and recommend them to everyone, but this cap is not engineered well.
A Classic Party Trick
· Review provided by hydroflask.com · August 24, 2023
First off, I love Hydro Flask. I have literally dozens of their products from bottles to bowls to tumblers, plates, mugs, and food containers. I started buying them back when they only came in stainless steel.

Having said this, the new colors are Awesome! I recently purchased a 32 oz wide-mouth in Driftwood with a chug lid for myself and on in Agave wit the straw cap for my wife.

The bottles are great, but the Chug Lid is more reminiscent of the old dribble glass trick. No matter how I put it on, with the chug portion open to relieve air pressure or not. I make sure the threads and silicone ring is dry, I can screw it down so hard it's tough to take off, but no to no avail. About 1/3 of the time, it leaks when I tip it to drink.

I have reached out to HF, but have yet to get a reply. I've already ordered a third-party lid that I've used on other bottles with no issues to replace mine in case HF doesn't get back to me, but it is kind of a let-down.
