September 18, 2024I love the Owala Free Sip stainless steel bottle. I own 4 of them (they have so many colorful combinations), my son has 2, my daughter has one as well. I’m a nurse and have recommended it to all of my coworkers and new moms. Most of my coworkers have bought one because of how highly I speak of this water bottle. I also gift it to all my expecting mom friends. My #1 most favorite thing about it is that you can carry it, open, drink and close it with one hand. Just flip the handle lock, press the button to open the top, sip, and close all with one hand. Definitely useful when you’re breastfeeding, holding a baby, or busy at work. You don’t even have to lift the bottle, you can set it on the table and sip it while you’re typing away since there is a straw. You’re choice lift it up and tilt or set it down and sip, your choice. The last thing I love is that the drink spout is not exposed, you don’t need an additional straw top to cover the straw/spout it’s protected and safe when you close it. It’s also super easy to clean, my whole hand fits in the tumbler so I don’t need a bottle brush (but I do have one for when I want a real super soapy clean. You have to try this bottle, I have a 24oz, 32oz, and 40oz bottle. The 40oz is my favorite since it really helps me stick to my water goal of 80oz per day.

October 13, 2024Appearance:fine
Quality:will be bringing the phone to the service centre for assessment due to some questionable functions
Performance:unsatisfactory battery issues
The phone shows 54% battery remain when I first tried to charge the 'new' phone. Not sure if this is the norm with Google phone as I don't encounter such with other brands.
The charger that I used to charge other devices are okay but didn't work with this Google pixel. I switched with another charger and noticed it takes a long time, 3.5 hours for a full charge. Again, not sure if slow charging is a norm for pixel phone.
The battery drains within a day, which for a new phone is not a good thing.
Issues communicated to the authorised seller, and was asked to submit a refund/cancel request but shopee rejected and replied that seller provided reason that it's under warranty and to bring the phone to the service centre for check.
Not only the inconvenience of providing the screenshots, detailing the issues to support the matter, it's frustrating that a trip is needed to a rather inconvenient service centre. When I decided to buy the Google phone from an authorised seller, I don't expect such issues. Unless the mentioned issues are normal for a Google pixel. Then the quality is very questionable.
Will see what the service centre says when I send the phone off for a check.

June 9, 2024I am a huge Owala stan so much so that after buying my first one for myself I bought 3 of my friends them for their birthdays. I specifically love the straw shape & how you can drink in two different ways, the sanitary lid, lockable feature, and how you can use the handle to hold or clip on to a caribiner/fanny pack/bag/etc. for on the go. This specific 24 once one happened to be the first one I've bought that broke/has had any problems, not sure if it's from washing it in the dishwasher or what but I believe these do say they are dishwasher safe. The spring bring and would not stay closed, luckily it was within 30 days or whatever so Dicks did refund me. However now my boyfriend is skeptical about getting another and wants to look at other water bottle options. I am still a huge Owala lover though!
Cons I will say though: the boot is protective but makes it hard to but in backpack pockets, cupholders, etc... Without a boot, it dents. I have the white color and it can get dirty easily, top lid can be hard to get fully clean. Expensive although similarly priced to other water bottles
not all it’s cracked up to be

February 29, 2024short explanation: opens slowly, sometimes not at all. gets dirty quickly and easily and that dirt is hard to clean off. ice melts pretty quickly but it is still cold even with the melted ice.
longer explaination: i bought this water bottle a bit over a month ago. it was good at first, i enjoyed drinking from it. i liked the cute colors of the bottle, the dual sip feature, and how there was a cover to the straw because i hate when my straws are exposed to the public air.
as time went on, the owala stopped opening as fast when i pushed the button. sometimes the lid wouldn’t open at all and i would have to push it up myself. so i took a star off for that aspect. this happened like 2.5 weeks into using the bottle.
also, the owala gets very dirty very quickly and easily. i brought my water bottle to school, as most do, and i even kept in inside my backpack not touching anything but my lunch bag. i pulled the bottle out to drink from it and like 2 minutes later, there was already dirty on the lid. not as much as what is shown in the picture but there was still a lot. it was weird. and my hands weren’t grubby or anything like that. the dirt seen in the picture just appeared on my water bottle one day. i literally did nothing but there was this big spot of dirt on it. and i purposely keep my water bottle inside my backpack and not in the water bottle holder on the side so that it can prevent getting dirty (although clearly it doesn’t matter). not only does the bottle get dirty very easily, but it is difficult to get the dirt/stains out because of the material the top is made of. so no matter how hard i scrub, there’s always a little bit of dirt on the top that just won’t come off.
finally, the ice melts pretty quickly. i fill my water bottle up at home and by lunch (which is like 4 hours later) the ice is melted or very close to being completely gone. the water is still cold though, so i do give it props for that.
in conclusion, i bought this water bottle because i saw it on tiktok and i thought it would be a good experience but it wasn’t. i was disappointed and i gave it a try and now it’s too late to get a refund. maybe i got a defective bottle but idk whatever. i just wanted to share my honest, real experience so that others know that the owala is not worth the hype.
