[Incentivized Review] Five stars IF DSG would bubble wrap
texas belle· Review provided by dickssportinggoods.com · October 31, 2024
the Stanley products are all stellar; the issue I’ve had this year is that DSG casually tosses the products into a box with NO protection. These are collectible and I speak for Stanley collectors when I say: WRAP THEM IN BUBBLE WRAP or SHIP them in their ORIGINAL boxes. We don’t want scratched and dented Stanley products.
Better than expected

I had bought the 1.1qt vacuum thermos down at my local Walmart, and was interested in the hype. I am a person who does my reasearch, and rarely purchases anything before i read a review or see a video or anything on the product I am purchasing. So when I was looking for something better than the waterbottle I have been using since college, I was very interested in the product. I have owned the product for the last 6 months and have loved it. I ended up getting my mother one, and she take it with her almost everyday.I was originally using it for hot tea, and now I am making Iced Coffee in there, and now back to the hot tea for the cooler months. When I did have the Iced coffee, there would still be ice in the bottle when I went to refil or make a new batch the next day. I love this thing. I bring it on hikes, and kayaking and generally take it most places with me.

As a side note, I had an issue with the first one, the wel that keeps the handle bracket on came off mid- pour. Luckily there wasn't much spillage most likely thanks to the cap design and the pour system. I contacted customer service that day, and they immediately sent me out a new bottle. I cannot say how much of a nice experience it is to deal with a company who is so good to their customers.

As a anecdote this morning, I had been in a bit of a rush these past few days, and haven't been able to keep a fresh pot of tea in the bottle(nevermind the fact it has been about 70 in New England the last few days in the middle of October). I had made tea 2 days ago, and put it in the bottle, and have been nursing it over the last few days. Well 2 days later I just got to the last cup of it and it was still warm, not boiling, but warm enough to drink and still be just what the doctor ordered on a chilly morning.

I would recommend this product to anyone, and I have been trying to get people on board that I go hiking, hunting and fishing with. It is a great product form an established company, who is more than happy to remedy any problem you have with whatever you may have purchased from them. I have a flask, and 2 vacuum bottles, and have given vacuum bottles, and the one hand coffee mugs as gifts, I really like how the product performs and cannot say enough about its quality.
[Incentivized Review] Stays icy cold

I've been using this thermos to hold ice water. I fill the thermos with ice and add water. I keep a cup with me throughout the day and I refill it with cold water from my thermos whenever my cup goes empty. The thermos keeps the ice from melting fast. I've had ice in it for over 24 hours and the ice hasn't melted too much. The thermos is hard to clean on the inside unless you use a bottle brush, which makes it easy to clean with warm water and dish soap. My only complaint is that the handle isn't very comfortable on my hand when I carry my thermos by the handle, but that's not really a big problem. Since there is metal on the thermos I hope it doesn't rust over time. For now, it is definitely coming in handy keeping me refreshed with icy cold water to help beat the summer heat.
From a scrap yard

I've had a few of the old 1.1s in the past and loved them. Still have them too even though they have migrated through my family scattered throughout 3 states. One has been at the family hunting camp in PA for almost 20 years and said from being run over by 4 wheelers, trucks, dropped down the side of A mountain and even stolen by a bear, we found it in its den A month after it ransacked the cabin 10 years ago, it's had parts replaced many times and still works like new. A few years ago I started tossing around the idea or getting another one. Instead I was in a scrap yard about 5-6 years ago when a kid next to me dropped off his last box that had 4 1.1s in it. I waited till he was finished and grabbed them up. One was still in plastic, another still worked though it was missing it's cup and the other 2 needed replacement parts, one newer model that I found at ace hardware and one older model that I'm still looking for parts to but really in no big hurry. Still have most of them and they still work like new. Mom calmed the brand new one about a month after finding them and then left it at my uncles 2 years ago. Stamped my initials into the side of them so I could tell mine from the others where I used to work. Now I just tell my uncle and cousin's to just send them home when their done with them.
