December 8, 2024I like the color and the glitter, it would be a perfect “shelf cup” for collectors. In the sunlight, the glitter is shades of pink when you look directly at it. If you look at it from the top or bottom, the shimmer effects are gold in color. Every pic I have of it really doesn’t do it justice bc it is so much prettier in person. BUT if you want to USE the cup and appreciate the “spill proof” feature when it’s tossed in a bag/ on grass/couch/car seat, (anywhere your kiddo will toss it by the handle!) be prepared for scratches and paint chipping. It will not be shiny and new for long… The Stanley gloss finishes do not survive a fall or tip as well as the original matte finishes. Once they’re innocently tossed and make contact with metal seatbelts/ cell phones in bags/pencils/ keys/ sidewalks/ parking lots/ gravel/ etc. Buh-bye pretty aesthetic paint!! A tumbler that does not tumble well- oh the irony 😂 BUT I gave 4 out of 5 stars because it keeps water cold; it is spill proof; it’s easy to carry; and easy to fill- so it serves 4 of the purposes… it lost half of a star due to the durability of the outside appearance. Which (let’s face it) is a major selling point for this particular item- but not a deal breaker bc you can still physically drink from it with exterior scratches. And half of a star because those leak proof spouts are impossible to take apart… which makes my mom brain wonder how much dirt and bacteria is lurking in the unseen crevices that are near the mouth area even after a sanitized hot soaking 😬

June 15, 2024I was hesitant at first about buying a Stanley due to the recent claims of lead being detect. But after some research i found that although lead is used to seal the vacuum hole it is covered by a stainless steel button (seen on the 2nd photo of the bottom) the company said that it is 100% safe to use but if the cup/bottle becomes damaged to stop using and get intouch for a replacement. They have a life time warranty. Also upon my research this is standard practice for sealing vacuum bottles/cup's and has been for decades so don't believe everything you see on social media. This bottle is to replace my current very old dented flip straw water bottle, i love a bottle with a straw but it is hard to find them that have a decent carry handle and when i saw this i was so excited 😊. I am yet to use it out and about but when I received it on the 14/06/2024 i washed it well in hot soapy water and tried it out. It was everything i needed. I have issues with mobility and over the years my hands have lost a bit a strength in them and the handle on the top made it so easy to unscrew the lid and screw it back on as well as the handle being sturdy and a very good size. I do a lot hydrotherapy (in water physio therapy) the pool is warm and i love my cold drinks so this will be perfect for that as well as for work. I work in retail and our fridge is small so drinks arnt kept in there if a lot of us are on shift and brought our own luch and this wasn't an issue ifni was doing a short shift as my trustee steel bottle worked well but it was only 500ml and i found i was having to buy another cold drink to replace it. So i am happy that this is 30oz thats about 887ml so perfect for those long shifts or very hot days when you tend to drink more or even in the rush of Christmas when its non stop. My only downside for me is that the bottle in its self when empty is heavy and obviously made heavier when liquid and ice is added, for me it would be an issue if the handle wasn't what it is. But due the size and comfort of the handle the wight isn't that bad especially as you dont have to tip it to drink you can use both hands or one hand to hold it with the use of the internal straw (that can be taken out to clean). Overall i am happy with my purchase and i can see my self getting plenty of use out of it. The colour is beautiful and a bonus that it fits in car's cup holders and be cleaned in the dishwasher if you wish. Although i will skip the dishwasher and wash by hand to make sure it lasts as long as it can.
A curate's egg. Good in parts!

April 22, 2025I've used a water bottle made by a certain water filter company in the past, and while it did the job, it wasn't terribly robust. One drop on the floor and it was finished. So this time I thought I'd upgrade.
The Stanley Tumbler is most definitely robust. You'd be able to fight through a zombie apocalypse with it and still be able to drink out of it afterwards, once you'd cleaned off the zombie bits. This thing is built like a tank! It also does an astonishing job at keeping cold liquids cold (I don't do hot drinks, but my wife assures me it does an equally remarkable job of keeping hot liquids hot). Not just for 'a while' but all day. With ease.
That's the good bit. There is, however, a downside. Well, three, actually. One. All that robustness comes with a severe weight penalty. It's heavy when it's empty. When it's full, it's like a dumbell. You may not want to carry it around all day. Two. It's not as leak-proof as Stanley would have you believe. When the spout is closed, yep, it's sealed up good and proper - you can swing it around all you like, and you won't spill a drop. But flip the nozzle up, and it's a different story. If you're using the integral straw, then you'll be fine, but if, like me, you choose to drink out of the nozzle, then expect to get water down your shirt.
Every single time. As you tip it up to drink, water drips down. Not the end of the world, but not leakproof in the complete sense of the world.
And the nozzle is alao the third failing. There is no way of opening, and more specifically, closing, the nozzle, without getting your fingers all over it. Fine if you're working in a nice clean office and the dirtiest thing you've touched was a doughnut. But if you're doing anything manual, and your hands are dirty, well you're going to transfer that dirt to the very part you put into your mouth every time you want a drink. Not ideal, and something of a design flaw to my mind.
If I'd known that at the time, I may not have bought it. As it is, I've paid for it now, so I'll use it until it wears out. Which will be in about a thousand years, I suspect...

May 25, 2025Appearance:Arrived well-packed with bubble wrap; no dents or scratches.
Quality:Very good quality! Feels solid and well-made. The stainless steel body is thick and durable, not flimsy like cheaper tumblers. The finish is smooth and premium-looking. Flip straw works perfectly, no leaks at all. You can tell it’s original and built to last. Been using daily for cold drinks — ice lasts for hours! Worth the price!
Performance:Performance is excellent! I filled it with iced water in the morning and still had ice by late evening — insulation really works. Flip straw is convenient and easy to use, no spills even when tipped over. Great for workouts and daily errands. Keeps drinks cold for hours even in hot weather. Perfect size for daily hydration, and fits nicely in my car’s cup holder
Overall, I'm very satisfied with the Stanley Flip Straw 2.0 Tumbler. It's a bit pricier than other brands, but the quality and performance justify the cost. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a durable and stylish tumbler.
