I bought this for my daughter as a lunch container after extensive searching for almost 2 years. Very happy to have finally found it. It works well and keeps the food warm for long. Have not tried for cold stuff but I’m sure it works great. Would work well for kids as a similar width jar with 16oz capacity. But this is a great size for older kids and youth or even adults. Have tried other products too and am very happy with them. Glad to see they are making different versions to fit varying needs and users.

I love the shape of this container, the color choices, the wide mouth that makes it easy to eat out of.

However, I did not buy it solely on its aesthetic. I bought it to keep my oatmeal warm from home to work. I make my breakfast at 6 a. m. then pack it to eat at my desk. At 8:30, my food is lukewarm at best. I've even tried filling the container with hot water beforehand to heat it up, and it doesn't help. Am I the only one having this issue? I bought this in 12 oz and 20 oz, and neither of them work well. I really love Hydroflask, but this could be the end of me buying these products.

I bought one for myself and each of my nieces and nephews - thank goodness I tried mine out before giving them as gifts. I warmed the jar with boiling water for 5 minutes before putting my piping hot food into the container in the morning, and less than four hours, at lunch time, the food was luke warm at best. The fact that the container itself, and the lid, were warm was a really bad indicator. Clearly all the heat escaped. I have to return the ones I bought as gifts and rush to find something else. I do NOT recommend this product and I am confused by all of the good reviews.
