[Rewarded Review] Definitely keeps things hot
Jodijode· Review provided by hydroflask.com · March 5, 2023
As a coffee drinker, I normally use a ceramic cup for my morning coffee. Unfortunately, it doesn't stay hot for very long in a ceramic cup. I was looking for something that would keep my coffee hot for a longer period of time so I tried the Hydro Flask 16 oz All Around Tumbler. The size of this tumbler is equivalent to a medium-sized coffee from most fast-food restaurants. Since starting to use this cup I have been able to drink my coffee at a more relaxed pace because it definitely keeps it nice & hot! The first time I used it, it took almost too long to cool down to a temp that was tolerable to drink. After that I started adding a bit of ice to the cup. The lid is a pop on/push on lid, not a screw on lid. It is a pretty tight fit but I would have preferred a screw on top because I'm afraid that if the cup gets knocked over, the lid could potentially pop off. I will say that the lid does have a really nice size opening, though. Most cups I've seen, when you slide it open the slit is so small that not much comes out. This one isn't like that. When I take a drink, I feel like I'm getting a good size sip/drink. As far as cleaning, the cup itself is easy to clean but as someone who doesn't have a dishwasher & has to hand wash the cup. I've noticed that the lid seems to take on the taste of the dish soap. No matter how well I rinse it, the next time I drink my coffee, I can taste residual dish soap. I'm not sure how to remedy that so for the time being, I'm just rinsing the lid off with hot water each time I'm done using it. Overall, though, this cup does keep things nice & hot & is a great replacement for my ceramic coffee mugs.
Almost perfect insulated cup!

I purchased two of these large ones, and two of the medium sized ones for car camping with the family. Although, I have found that I also use them around the house on hotter summer days. They do a great job keeping ice and drinks cold for an impressive length of time (hours).
I wanted this cup specifically, rather than a Yeti, for a a few reasons: 1. it is also well insulated 2. it is large enough to fit TWO 355mL cans of beverage - plenty of room of whatever beverage you could want. 3. it is stackable with other Hydro Flask cups, and of different sizes - this was a key selling feature for me.4. The price was slightly more affordable than Yeti cups - especially when it goes on sale. 5. The colours are pretty awesome so each family member knows which cup is theirs.
The only drawback, compared to a Yeti, is that the lid is not leak-proof. It is good for splashes etc, but you could not put the lid on and throw it inside a bag as it would drip out over time. However, The lid cover’s closure is easy to pop in and out for cleaning - which my wife found very important. I took away one star for the limited leak-proof feature - other than this, I am really happy with this cup!
Perfect*

Finally caved and bought this from hydroflask. Quality is always the best for me at hydroflask and totally worth the price. I use the standard size cap with straw to be able to drink from the oasis without having to carry it. I use the oasis at home cause it’s just so heavy to carry around lol. Suggestion maybe have a silicone boot from hydroflask already for the oasis or at least come with a silicone bottom? Otherwise I was able to find a silicone boot for the oasis on Etsy.

Overall great product thou. Gave 4 stars cause no specific boot and lack of color options now but totally worth it.
[Rewarded Review] Great size for young kids

I have a different color of these tumblers for each of my kids. The colors are fun and vibrant and so each has a color that they love. It is a great size for kids to use as a water cup near their bedside. They can put in ice cubes and their water stays nice and cold and I don't have to worry about water rings on their bedroom furniture. They also like using the lid, and I like knowing it is there as a safeguard against any big spills from an accidental knock-over. They will also use these cups when we go car camping and I can see them being useful for longer car trips, especially if you have young kids that find it difficult to open normal hydro flask water bottles. I avoid kids cups that have straws and complicated lid parts that require constant cleaning. The lid for this tumbler is super quick and easy to clean (but it's not water-tight so you can't just throw it in a bag like a normal hydro flask bottle). If you don't have kids, this tumbler would also work well for holding a mixed drink on the rocks for any outdoor gathering.
