[Rewarded Review] Still a Hydroflask Loyalist

November 5, 2024I traded in several Hydroflask products that I'd had for a number of years, but either didn't use or were damaged in such a way that they were no longer functional. I love that the company offers this option, as I didn't want to just throw them away, and I'm glad to know Hydro is taking responsibility for the whole life cycle of their products. I'd gone over to the St*nley dark side (I still love it for long car trips), but I've always been a Hydroflask loyalist at heart. I really like the updates they've made to the Flex Straw lid, so it can be more thoroughly cleaned. I also love that the whole thing is dishwasher safe. I got this in the same color as the one that got me all the way from senior year of high school (2018) until my first year of teaching (2023), and I love this one just as much as I loved the other!

October 27, 2023I purchased the 40 oz Wide Mouth with Flex Straw Cap. Here are some great things about it. 1. The amount of liquid it holds is perfect for the days you decide to go on a hike with your friend but your friend doesn’t understand that you’re a couch potato and therefore the hike she does 3-4 times a week, is killing you, so the amount of times you have to stop and drink water to make it through… it definitely holds the right amount. 2. It keeps the water super cold, when you put in cold water and then put the container in the fridge! I’ve noticed the water stays cold for the whole day. 3. Easy to take apart and clean
Things I’m not so fond of, 1. The water container is heavy, empty. So it is even heavier filled. Just something to consider. 2. Doesn’t fit in cup holders, it would be great if the same size container was tapered on the bottom to fit into standard size car cup holders. 3. The straw spits when filled, (or refilled) and flipped open. So just be careful around phones/computers or other electronics as a bit of water does come out of the flex straw.
Overall, I do love the water bottle and use it daily.

April 26, 2024Not very happy with the quality. It seems things are being made cheaper these days. I’ve had a hydroflask since 2014 and bought this new one. Took it to work and accidentally dropped it one time and it put a bad dent in it. My other hydroflask I have is tough as nails and I’ve accidentally dropped them before and it never got a dent in them like that at all. It’s said the quality of things being made out there today aren’t like they use to be. Every thing is getting made cheaper and ppl are charged higher prices for them so companies are really making their money off of us stupid ppl buying it huh.

September 21, 2023Let me preface this by saying that I’ve had a Hydroflask since 2017. I’ve seen over the years as Hydroflask came out with new designs and modifications to the mouth and lids of their bottles and honestly I always found them quite ugly. I clung closely to my 2017 edition wide mouth, glad I would never have to make the change. Yet last month, I tragically left it behind in a university classroom and was unable to find it again. I searched for old stock of that same 2017 design and found some on Ebay but after watching some reviews about the new Flex Straw Cap design, I gave in. And I am soooo happy that I upgraded to the new tech! The new straw cap it so much easier to clean (it comes apart so you can get into every nook and cranny), the mouthpiece locks into place so you can feel that it is absolutely secure before throwing it in your bag and the additional handle make it so much easier to take on walks or to the gym. The muted Oat color I got is also so lovely and goes perfectly with my now more neutral/monochrome style. I hope to cherish this bottle for many years!
