2023 VIC Summit & Honors Ceremony Gala
The 2023 IEEE Vision, Innovation, and Challenges Summit (IEEE VIC Summit) & Honors Ceremony will be held at the Hilton Atlanta on Friday, 5 May 2023.
The IEEE VIC Summit and Ceremony – IEEE’s premier event that highlights the innovation and creativity of engineering, science, and technology through provocative, educational, and inspiring talks with a vision for the future. The event draws in individuals from all over the world, from student-young professionals to mid-high-level professionals in the tech ecosystem.
The Summit culminates with the IEEE Honors Ceremony Gala—an evening of festivities that include the celebration of the contributions of some of the greatest minds—a diverse array of engineers, scientists, leaders, entrepreneurs, and practitioners—who have advanced technology for the benefit of humanity.

2023 IEEE Medal and Recognition Recipients
IEEE Life Fellow, Vinton (Vint) G. Cerf, the 2023 IEEE Medal of Honor Recipient, is being recognized for co-creating the Internet architecture and providing sustained leadership in its phenomenal growth in becoming society’s critical infrastructure. He is the Vice-President and Chief Internet Evangelist at Google. Cerf will receive the Medal of Honor at the IEEE Honors Ceremony in Atlanta. Read more about Vint Cerf.

The IEEE Honors Ceremony has a long tradition, dating back to 1909 when Elihu Thomson was recognized. Edwin H. Armstrong, Guglielmo Marconi, Lee DeForest, Claude Shannon, Robert N. Noyce, Gordon Moore, Andy Grove, and others have received IEEE Awards. The ceremony itself is a gala affair, in which some of the world’s leading pioneers and innovators gather for an evening that celebrates the power and possibilities of technology. This is a spectacular gala event that is not to be missed.

The 2023 IEEE VIC Summit and Honors Ceremony will take place on Friday, 5 May 2023 at the Hilton Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Hilton Atlanta at the secured special group room rate of $159.00 per night (exclusive of tax and fees) for a standard room. Please note that the group room rate is only available from 3-6 May 2023. If you require a sleeping room outside of these dates, prices are not guaranteed. Reservations must be made by Wednesday, 12 April at 5:00 PM ET.
