Does Tor still work in China?

So I am going to china for a vacation and visiting my family there. Is there any way that allows Tor to access the internet? Staying there for about a month so I don't need any long term remedies.

Yes, with meek bridges.

Meek is disabled on Tails.

How would Tails users from China deal with that?

On 14 April 2018, Tor Metrics measured 1,186 Tor clients, using a meek bridge, connected from China. The "CSV" link provides the file with the precise Tor Metrics data.

About a year ago, Tor was almost impossible to use with standard settings. I'd suggest using a VPN, even though many of these are blocked as well. My failsafe mode is to connect to my own VPN on my home router. Also be aware that if you rely on google products, you are most likely screwed. If you don't mind paying the data, you can create a hotspot on your phone (internet over your phone is not censored).

internet over your phone is not censored

Just back from China. This is not correct. My Irish sim would not give me a data connection over there and my Chinese sim was censored.

+1 to creating your own vpn on your home router. If you have a dynamic ip you'll need to get the server to send the ip to you each time it changes, which you will obviously need to be able to access somehow (setting up an email which is not blocked seems easiest).
