e-Administration is 'the effective management of the coordination and control of business processes and the electronic information they create'. It has two fundamental objectives: to increase the efficiency of administrative processes within institutions and to lessen the administrative burden faced by all staff during  this process.

Jisc infoNet Management Survey

The data generated by the survey provides a picture of the impact of information access legislation on the sector that is used within institutions for their own planning purposes. 

Time Running Out to Respond to Code of Practice (datasets) Consultation
The Government Consultation on the draft Code of Practice for public authorities to help them meet the new statutory duty to publish datasets ends on 10th January 2013.

ICO Announces List for FOI Monitoring
The ICO has announced that four public authorities (including the Department for Education) will be monitored in the new year over concerns about the timeliness of their responses to FOI requests. 

Councils Fined for Losing Personal Data
Four local councils were issued significant civil monetary penalties for losing personal data.
