Subject: [ANNOUNCE] Experimental Links Tree Newsgroups: gmane.comp.web.links Date: 2001-10-28 17:44:24 GMT (7 years, 17 weeks, 2 days, 17 hours and 23 minutes ago) Hello, I'm proud to announce ELinks (Experimental Links) tree deployment. ELinks is intended as descendant of links-pb, and as a tree for testing of patches which are to be included into links. It should have shorter release cycle, so bugfixes and new features will come into elinks faster, however elinks is not intended to be rock-stable. Temporary elinks' webpage is available at http://pasky.ji.cz/elinks/. There is also link to tarball of nightly generated snapshot of CVS tree, instructions how to access CVS tree anonymously and also link to online CVS repository browser. Actually, there is only lua-p12-wip2 and pb3 in elinks actually (tagged as elinks-0_1, well, w/o editarea and crfix patches, which are quite controversal; going to add editarea just after sending this mail, looks like crfix doesn't work anyway), but I have promise of IPv6 patch author to redo it for links-0.96, when someone will fix certain bug (try only first RR host has, even if it has more and the first one doesn't work; it should try each, until it will get connected) and another volunteer which is willing to rework HTTP auth support. I would want to give r/w access to repository to several active developers, just mail me your desired uname and password . Your comments upon this are really welcomed, as I would want to have as many developers as possible fixing bugs and implementing new nice features into [e]links .
