You are speaking at our conference in three months. Can you send us the slides this week?

"We would prefer not to. While we understand your desire to provide printed slides to the aufience and prepare this materials as early as possible, there are good reasons for not pereparing to much in advance:
We are dedicated to present bleeding edge research at conference and workshops. Since we are usually are dong active research on the topics we are speaking on, additional information and new results turn up untill a few hours before a conference. This means we are usually bringing our slides in their final form on the day before a talk. Therefore we feel that if we submit the slides weeks earlier they won't reflect the latest and greatest information. Or the printed slides would significanntly differer from the slides used in the actual presentations - which usualy leads to considerable confusion in the audience." (From the Pi1 FAQ) ... comment
