Chimera is a World Wide Web browser for UNIX-based machines running the X window system.

Chimera 1 was written while the author was being paid by ISRI. Check out Gerhard Niklasch's Beyond 1.65 for more information.

Chimera 2 is a complete rewrite. It is a currently an alpha quality release that supports some HTML3.2 features.

There are two mailing lists: bug-chimera and chimera-announce. Bug-chimera is for messages about bugs, fixes, help requests, and general chimera ramblings. Chimera-announce is for announcements of new releases of chimera or large patches/enchancements. You can join bug-chimera by sending a request to [email protected].
