(Don't) Open Your Eyes
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
You are trying to fall asleep.
In the midst of a silent night, a shadowy being approches your bed.
You can't see it... but across the darkness of your eyelids, a silhuette forms nonetheless.
It seeks one thing: for you to open your eyes, and tell them how they look.
Will you comply? Or will you refuse to see them for what they are?
The choice is yours.
"(Don't) Open Your Eyes" is a short, horror-themed Visual Novel about a midnight encounter with a mysterious being. Through conversation, you'll learn more about them, such as their journey so far, or what they think about themselves. And every now and then, it'll make a simple request out of you: to open your eyes.
It's up to you whether to open your eyes or not. It's up to you to believe if they're really there, or if that whispering voice is only a part of your imagination. Just don't keep your visitor waiting for too long.
Features:
- A chilling tale about a creature's eternal search.
- Fully-voiced experience.
- Choose how the creature looks like at specific points in the story, with up to 27 possible combinations.
- Each option provides a new bit of dialogue, so be sure to try them all!
- A succint experience, between 30 minutes and 1 hour in length.

yippee love this game
This was a fun experience. I have not played a game like this before. I am glad I gave it a try.
Good game. If you also take place in the right atmosphere (lights off, rain outside, etc.), then it’s generally great. Thank you, author, for the emotions you gave me с:
Why now I have a crush with it?
BRO-
Nah he spittin fr fr
I can fix it

pretty long game, only played it cause i saw multiple youtubers playing it and overall it was a great game and a great experience :)
sigma experience! I let my 8 year old daughter play this but now she won't sleep in her room. She also doesn't let me open her eyes, she wears glasses :(
So I played this a few weeks ago on twitch. ... It was very unsettling! lmao Very well done!
How many ending it have?
hahhha the funky "end video.mkv" is epicly crashing my pc
Loved this. Something a little different. Creative and self-reflective.
This game was excellent at self-reflection and examining one's actions. I would recommend it, without a doubt. I wish we could ease the poor demon and tell him what he looks like.

i receive this error every time i try to open it :(
same problem here, anyone who knows explain please
This game was TENSE. a great play for sure.
Words cannot express how seen I feel whenever I play this game. This is how I wish my writing was... captivating, meaningful, thoughtful. It's beautiful.
I would hug this creature if I could. I deeply empathize with them.
Thank you for this wonderful experience, and with such limited assets it was pulled off so well. I shall now indulge in your next game as well.

this game was raw...it jerked my tears nearly out.
This game was... smth. I played it last night and I almost cried. "Maybe they're yours." was intense. "Have you ever masked your emotions with an expressionless face?" or smth like that hit me hard. With each "have you ever..." question I felt a little more broken lol. Great game, haven't gotten to the end but would recommend,
they say the art disturbs the comfortable and comfort the disturbed. Thats what this did for me.
i like his silly voice
wonderful little bedroom demon, he deserves better :( (great sense of ambience and distress though, this is in my "hall of fame" collection now muahahha)
this game is an experience. I enjoyed every second of this and now i'm having an existential crisis.
This was hauntingly beautiful, I felt very unnerved and stressed at the start but throughout the game I started to feel more and more comfortable. Great and unique game.
This is a great game, it's interesting , had a good messages , and excellent and simple trauma, and have an art interesting
when they said "these eyes, these hands, this expression... they're not mine. maybe they're yours" yeah that impacted me a little (too much)
tried it so long ago- 2020? i think? and i really liked it, but now... i wish i could hug the creature. that creature was me.
also i replayed it with a friend on a birthday party when others were playing poppy playtime, fun experience i would recommend
i just love this game, the atmosphere is so intensive
i was scared at the beginning, but the more the conversation flowed i felt more pity for it...
My first time playing (and only until now because i'm at night), when i open my eyes, the room is empty
Tomorrow i'll play again and see what happens :)
say hi to brazil
ola brasil
i've played this game a few years ago when i was younger. i couldn't really fully immerse in the creature's words back then because of my naivety. i replayed it with a more mature perception of things and it was a very wonderful experience. i can sympathize with the creature in more ways than i'd like.
I would like a sequel where we date the being, thank you. Seriously though, nice game.
bro what
yeah i want the same thing. the creature deserves love, man...
The words they say:))
I really liked this game, the voice is beautiful as well as the variety of options the game offers, it even made me philosophize a little
The whispering gave me the (good) creeps, i`ve played the game 4 times just to hear this voice :)
