With people talking about the Apple Vision Pro, it's time to step back and remember how much display technology has advanced in the last few decades. Back in the day, you'd have to hook up a massive, bulky cathode ray tube to your PC. The advent of tiny, affordable LEDs has made it so you can get impossibly fine resolution in a screen that's a fraction of an inch thick. In celebration, we decided to hunt down five monitor deals of the moment that look great and save you money.

LG's UltraGear line of gaming monitors are designed for players who want bright, fast-moving panels without a lot of extra features. This is a rock-solid screen! We reviewed the 27" version and enjoyed it quite a bit, saying that it had "a palatable price, spot-on performance, and a sensible design." With a 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms MBR, it can keep up with your graphics card, and even though the display isn't quite 4K it still looks great.

They may seem gimmicky, but ultrawide monitors are actually pretty incredible for gaming and content creation. This LG model is on sale for a very nice $150 off, and boasts a 32:9 aspect ratio. HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 inputs support up to 200Hz at a native resolution of 5,120 x 1,440. That's more than fast enough for just about anything you want to do. The VA panel offers good contrast and color fidelity, although it can seem bright in dark rooms.

This Acer monitor isn't the biggest or the baddest out there, but it's a crisp 1080p display with a 165Hz refresh rate at an incredible price, barely over a hundred bucks. That makes it a killer choice for a gaming den where space is at a minimum. It works with AMD's FreeSync Premium technology to synchronize refresh rate with graphics card output, and the stand is a breeze to put together.

One of the best 4K monitors with high refresh rates we've seen, we had a lot of good things to say about the Asus TUF gaming monitor in our review. Even though it's an IPS screen and not QHD, we deemed it "a snappy, responsive 4K monitor with strong color accuracy" and praised its performance throughout our tests. A panoply of ports and an adjustable stand that tilts, pivots, raises and lowers are nice as well.

Let's close with an envelope-pushing display that's $500 off for a limited time. The Odyssey Neo G9 is essentially two 4K monitors fused together at the hip, and in our review we said that it was "a gorgeous 57-inch widescreen mega-monitor sure to dazzle deep-pocketed gamers looking to maximize immersion." You've got to have a beefy PC with a graphics card to match to get the best performance from it, but for pro gamers it'll change your life. This is a deeper discount than we've seen on it for a while.
