Charlie Ward

As a keen cricketer, I have volunteered to run and coach a junior cricket team for the last 10+ years. After being a member of Upton Cricket Club since around the age of 6-7 and still currently being an active member/player, I have always enjoyed bringing new talent through the age groups and developing a strong sporting ethos from a young age. Now going full cycle and coaching my own children through the process, moving into hard ball this year!

I currently coach the Under 10's team, who have this year (2022/3) started to compete for the ball at a contact level and next year take on kicking! As a player myself for 25 years (still playing!) I thoroughly enjoy watching their personalities, skills, confidence and teamwork grow.

I am a firm believer of sports as a development of both character and friendships and implore anyone to get involved. As a parent and coach it's a great way to build both family and external relationships… Show more
