Why on earth anyone would DDoS the Internet Archive is a mystery to us but the one of the most wonderful and important sites on the internet - it's home to the Wayback Machine among other things - has been under siege for days. Also, if your company relies on the internet in any meaningful way for its existence, you should definitely considering donating to them. https://lnkd.in/ehgg2qcY

It emerged last week that the check-in systems at a number of Wyndham hotels in the US were running pcTattletale spyware that was leaking guest information due to a security flaw. Since then the spyware company's website has been hacked and had its source code and internal data leaked. Amazon had also locked the firm's AWS account. Eric Daigle, the researcher who found the initial security flaw that set all this in motion has now released details of how he discovered the vulnerability. The moral of the story perhaps though is not to spy on your employees. https://lnkd.in/eqFi3nq9
