    Last week, the Leonid team headed back to Stamford 🇬🇧 on a 2-day offsite for a combination of training, team-building and entertainment. As always, there were laughs aplenty as we all tried our hand at a some new games and even tested our culinary skills as we were challenged to create a globally-inspired spread for our BBQ lunch. The theme for this event was 'village people' and if you're a fan of 70s music, then you will hopefully understand why we all look rather silly in some of these photos! #lifeatleonid #teambuilding

    It's Mental Health Awareness Week - and this year, the theme is Movement. Physical activity is one of the most important things we can do for our mental health - and yet it is so easily overlooked when the working day gets busy. Movement helps boost mental health in the following ways: 😁 Improves mood through the release of endorphins 🔥 Increases energy levels 🙏 Reduces stress 😴 Improves sleep quality Recognising the incredible benefits of movement, Leonid holds quarterly 'health months' where we encourage everyone to increase their physical activities - and for every workout, we plant a tree via Tree-Nation. Of course, movement should not be restricted to once a quarter, but making this a friendly competition four times a year has helped us all to maintain ongoing good habits.     An article in The Times this week has shone a light on the pitfalls of using Artificial Intelligence in the recruitment process - and we've explored these issues in our latest blog post. According to the Times article, researchers have found that outstanding candidates are missing out on progressing in a recruitment process due to being ‘screened out’ by bots. At Leonid, we are all for using sophisticated technology to streamline our processes and reduce admin, but we strongly believe that human connection is non-negotiable at every stage of the recruitment journey. We are a search-based recruiter, meaning we don't deal with huge volumes of CVs. Many of our roles are confidential and therefore not advertised. It's our job to build relationships and we often work to very detailed client briefs. Using AI would only be counter-productive. There is simply no substitute for humans in our line of work! #AI #recruitment
