To celebrate the launch of our new flagship store in Tokyo’s trendsetting Harajuku district, we were joined by friends of the brand for an enchanting and memorable launch party. Joining Jo Malone London’s 50 existing stores in Japan, the new opening is the brand’s largest in the world to date. Filled with playful, immersive displays, visitors can expect a one-of-a-kind experience befitting the iconic location. With unique and whimsical displays, dreamt up by BAFTA- and Academy Award-winning art director and set designer Shona Heath, the emphasis here is on playful discovery. The party’s guests were invited to quite literally stick their heads in the clouds (which are scented, of course) and venture further afield via fragrance stories found in the Cologne Intense Cave. Jo Malone London has been working with charity partner BIGKID Foundation to support their mission to end youth violence for over 3 years. Most recently we have worked with BIGKID Foundation on their community leadership programme, creating the opportunity to deliver a series of workshops teaching leadership, communication and problem-solving skills. Young people from the programme were also given the opportunity to go on residentials, with the aim of writing and acting in a short film highlighting the importance of staying true to yourself. The young people involved celebrated the completion of this project by showcasing the film at the Jo Malone London townhouse to their peers, teachers and families. #BIGKID #JoMaloneLondon

Inspired by her own journey with mental health, our Global Ambassador Adwoa Aboah’s podcast – GURLS TALK – is a community-led non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the mental health and wellbeing of adolescent girls and young women. The latest episode, recorded live in the Jo Malone London Townhouse, sees (or hears) her in conversation with psychotherapist Talitha Fosh, whose expertise in the field of addiction has informed her upcoming book, Hooked. Talitha has a personal, as well as professional interest in this topic; her own story has been coloured by addiction, making her even more passionate about the work of dismantling the stereotype of ‘the addict’, as well as sharing tried-and-tested techniques to help others reclaim their freedom. To celebrate our male fragrance Cypress & Grapevine Cologne Intense, Jo Malone London hosted wellness events in collaboration with Circle Zero Eight, at two London locations where guests were invited to partake in a fitness class at Arc Athletics Club or 12x3 Boxing. These doubled as an opportunity to recognise the link between wellness and mental health and importance of taking time for yourself.
