An an ex-teacher and local authority technology advisor, Niel now leads impactful initiatives that bridge technology and education. He chairs the Learning Foundation, supporting children and schools to maximize the benefits of technology, and serves as the chair of Trustees at the Digital Poverty Alliance, striving to eliminate digital poverty in the UK by 2030.  “It is a real surprise and an absolute honour to receive this award. Dr Hannah Dee, the founder of the BCSWomen Lovelace Colloquium, has been recognized for her outstanding services to technology and women in the information technology sector 👏👏 With over 20 years of experience in teaching and research, Hannah is a senior lecturer in computer science at Aberystwyth University and holds a PhD in AI from the University of Leeds. She founded the Lovelace Colloquium in 2008 while a researcher at Leeds and has been a driving force behind its success, serving as chair or deputy chair every year since. The BCSWomen Lovelace Colloquium is an inspiring annual one-day conference for women and non-binary students of Computing and related subjects. It provides a supportive platform for students to share their ideas, network, and encourage each other in their academic and professional journeys. We've won an award! 🙌 What a fantastic evening we had yesterday at the e-Assessment Association Awards in London!
