The new Team GB track bike for the Paris 2024 Olympics. The 2024 Hope-Lotus Olympic track bike follows the success of the Tokyo track bike, which contributed to the track team winning seven Olympic medals and topping the event medal table. The Lotus Engineering team have used their strengths in aerodynamics to create the bike's unique front fork design and handlebars, working with Hope Technology to integrate these components into the overall bike. Inspired by fighter jet design, the fork has a new serrated edge that allows smoother airflow around the rider. The customisable handlebars help achieve a more efficient aero position for longer races. The composite fork is crafted from the same high-grade carbon fibre and single-cure manufacturing process as the Lotus Evija Hypercar, guaranteeing lightness. We can’t wait to see it in action, see you in Paris 🚲 #BritishCycling

At Lotus, we know we have a responsibility to play in the global transition to net zero emission. In 2018, we launched Vision80, with the ambition to go all-electric by 2028. And we know electrification is only the beginning. “We have to consider the whole life cycle impact of producing a car. From manufacturing and production, to charging and to its end life. We're on a journey to build a business that benefits the planet and committed to showing our progress along the way.” Alexious Lee, ESG Committee Chairman of Lotus Tech. We consciously design our next-generation electric vehicles including Eletre and Emeya with advanced sustainable materials that are sustainably sourced, and we are promoting renewable energy use across the entire manufacturing process. Without Hazel Chapman there would be no Lotus. Celebrating the life of Hazel Chapman. The co-founder of Lotus, successful racing driver and astute businesswoman, Hazel was the rock upon which Lotus Cars was built. Her contribution to motorsport and the motor industry in the latter half of the 20th century is monumental. On International Women’s day we honour Hazel for paving the way for progress through her strength, resilience, and achievements. #InternationalWomensDay #ForTheDrivers

Eletre was engineered to conquer the cold. Recently Eletre participated in the El Prix 2024 organised by the Norwegian Automobile Federation (Norges Automobil-Forbund) The objective of the El Prix? To test the real world range and charging speed of electric cars under practical Norwegian winter conditions. The results are in, and Eletre achieved the highest charging power ever measured in the El Prix with 327 kW of power recorded. And in testing at temperatures up to -11 degrees Celsius, Eletre achieved only a 12,3 % deviation from the official WLTP range figures, ranking second highest in this category. #Eletre #ForTheDrivers Read more about the tests here: https://lnkd.in/dsgUjpnb

A monumental day for Lotus, as we officially become a publicly traded company on Nasdaq: $LOT Lotus was founded by Colin and Hazel Chapman, who went on to build a series of bespoke race cars, creating many of the engineering and design innovations that are now a standard practice in motorsports today. They never accepted the status quo, never accepted the word no, and built an iconic motor company with pure determination, hard work, rebelliousness and grit. That spirit lives on in us today. Lotus is now in the midst of becoming a global premium tech brand. We’re on the road to becoming fully electric by 2028, and today gives many more people a chance to be part of that journey. We wouldn’t be where we are today without the support or our people, our owners, and our dealer network across the world, thanks you to each and every one of you who has helped us along the way. #ForTheDrivers #$lot https://lnkd.in/eRziQ_MM
