I help ‘always on’ Female Founders speed up by slowing down | Mind, body & breath coach

Whoever said doing it alone is a smart move hasn’t tried to build a business. In the first few months of Breathing Mindful Coaching, I went solo. How did it go? Let’s say things took way longer than they needed to 😂 I made mistakes,  I felt frustrated I was stubborn I saw other female founders talking about the power of community,  I didn’t believe them I thought it would take me away from my priorities. I was wrong Building local and virtual communities helps me achieve my priorities It’s about finding the right one (or ones) for you So when Emmie Faust said she was opening up the doors for the 2nd cohort of Find a Female Founder, I signed up straight away You can now find me in the Find Female Founders Directory (see comments) Just because I help Female Founders, as a fellow Female Founder doesn’t mean I don’t need support and community too! Check me out and many other amazing humans on the list Vanessa Shepherd Oh and tag your community in this post, let them know you care. —————————————————- Hi 👋 I’m Nikki, I help Female Founders who are 'always on' speed up by slowing down. 📅28 May 2024

What an incredible list of Asian female founders doing great things and building businesses here in the UK Thanks Amardeep for highlighting in your post and also interviewing many on your podcast. Hopefully we’ll get to meet there at our next Collab meet up in June! Check out these Asian female founders 👇

I’m tired of people thinking there aren’t any Asian female founder role models in Britain. That’s not true. There’s tons you just don’t know about them. In 51 seconds, from memory I wrote down a list of 25*: 1. Dimple Patel (ep. 34) 2. Farzana Rahman (recording soon) 3. Lucy Jung (ep. 140) 4. Ruby Raut (recording soon) 5. Radha Vyas (ep. 96) 6. Siddhi Mittal (ep. 44) 7. Heinin Zhang (ep. 60) 8. Murvah Iqbal 📦 Iqbal (ep. 54) 9. Eshita Kabra (ep. 132) 10. Rupa Ganatra Popat (ep. 136) 11. Ishveen Jolly (ep. out soon) 12. Sammi Wei (ep. 128) 13. Riya Grover (recording soon) 14. Lara Naqushbandi (ep. 112) 15. Ahana Banerjee (ep. 41) 16. Priya Downes (ep. out soon) 17. Anushka Patchava MD, MBA (ep. out soon) 18. Raj Kaur Khaira (ep. 106) 19. Sakshi Chhabra Mittal (recording soon) 20. Sandrine Zhang Ferron (recording soon) 21. Stephanie Leung (ep. 122) 22. Sathya Smith (ep. 116) 23. Anita Moorthy (ep. 98) 24. Peony Li (ep. 50) 25. Natasha Ratanshi-Stein 🏄🏼♀️ (ep. out soon) They're all transforming their industries or have already done so! I remember when people thought The BAE HQ wouldn't be able to find enough women who met our high bar for guests. Yet we did the research and found them! We've been lucky that our community tells us about people we didn't know too. Knowing they exist is only one small part of the overall picture. There's a huge amount of work to be done still especially with access to capital. But if you think Asian women can't do it then you're wrong. Hopefully this post goes a little way toward changing any biases you had :). Their episodes/status on The BAE HQ is in brackets so you can hear their stories - do this before vaguely reaching out to them because they're busy af building! Respect their time :). *order is my brain dump - people who are speaking at our events, asian startup intern founders then podcast guests. I don't have all episode numbers memorised and had to check that after the 51 seconds duh.

CEO of Fabric - Where World Class Marketers Come To Develop & Grow | Maximising Marketing Impact ✨ Marketing Strategist, Educator, Key Note Speaker, Trusted Coach for Marketing Teams & Businesses

I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing Female Founders Rise is…. When I decided I might need to raise finance for my new tech business, I really had no idea where to start. I certainly had no relevant network and I had no concept how tough and lonely it would be at times 😔 Fast forward 18 month and I couldn’t be happier that I found Emmie Faust and her community FFR. I can’t even remember where I first met Emmie, but I saw a post of hers on LinkedIn and it just resonated at a really tough point in my journey, I immediately reached out, joined FFR and have never looked back 👀 It’s been the one single factor that I can say hands down, was the reasons I was successful in my fund raise. 👯♀️The network 🧠The knowledge 🫶🏻The support 💕The help & advice from Emmie and members of FFR - it’s been an incredible journey! And I’ve been trying really, REALLY hard for a while to bring this support network to the North East - because we’ve some of the best females I know up here, doing AMAZING things, but I still think we lack the support, education and community around raising finance - especially as females. Last year we launched the first ever FFR event in Newcastle (which was incredible) and next month we’re back!!! On Thursday 6th of June we’ll have both Emmie (founder of FFR) and Debbie Clarke 🌟 aka debbiedooodah (founding member) travelling up North to bring us the best Female founders event. We’ll hear from females who have scaled their business and raised money along the way. We’ll hear from Angel investors about why they invest and what it’s like to invest in a female led business. And we’ll hear from loads of NE supporters who will give you all the info you need to decide if raising financial is right for you, and if so, how you go about it. Plus I’ll be running a little session on the entire process I used to complete my raise and what I’ve learned along the way. You don’t have to be raising finance for this to be relevant, the community is open to all female businesses looking to grow. Come for the full session, just the panel or just the networking, it’s up to you. But if you’re a female running a business, I can’t recommend this event and community enough 🥰 come along and find out for yourself. Thursday 6th June 4pm - drinks and intros 4.30pm - workshop on how I raised 5.15pm - networking and intros 6pm - panel session 6.30pm - drinks and wrap up 7pm - close We’ve already sold half of the tickets available so if you’re thinking of coming along get booked here 👉🏻 https://lnkd.in/ehSndiYP ✨Anny Lian✨ Dip PFS Hekla Goodman Parker Rojin Yarahmadi Helen Whitfield Zara Lane Amy Mooney Dr Natalia Blagburn Rebecca MacDermid Naomi Allen Seales Naomi McDiarmid Elaine Stroud Kari Owers Jo York - please spread the word.

CEO and Founder of Fleur of England, a luxury lingerie brand designed to empower women through fit and craftsmanship | Mum of 2

Pia Harpur made me emotional last week, but in a happy way. It's a very rare thing to be praised publicly and I feel completely honoured that Pia would think this, let alone say such lovely words. I have admired Pia and her work as soon as she arrived in the lingerie industry and knew from the moment I met her she had what it would take to succeed. ⭐️creativity ⭐️passion ⭐️ strong valves ⭐️Kindness (supporting others so that we can all be better together in our industry) I am so excited to see the next chapter of Studio Pia and where Pia takes her incredible brand. #empoweringWomen #femalefoundesrise #Independantbrands #lingerieindustry

Founder of STUDIO PIA - Luxury Lingerie with a Conscience | Mum

Let’s talk about the power of positive role models 👸 I have been lucky to work in a part of the lingerie industry where female founders, business owners, and designers are the norm. You might think that’s obvious given we are creating a product for women, but it’s not necessarily the reality for the industry at large. When I decided to launch Studio Pia it really didn’t feel like a daunting prospect, because since I started my career in luxury lingerie, I’ve been surrounded by incredible female founders who have inspired me at every stage of my professional development. I feel lucky that I never felt limited by my gender. One such founder, is Fleur Christacos founder of Fleur of England I met Fleur and her team working tradeshows back in 2010 while I was working at a fledgling Bordelle. I was always impressed with how Fleur structured her collections and the consistency of her design aesthetic. At the shows, she always seemed to be meeting with all the best buyers too, and had an enviable stockist list. Fast forward to today and Fleur has maintained her control of the business, steadily growing the brand over 23 years to become a staple in the luxury lingerie space, with an impressive and loyal clientele base. She still heads up her small but perfectly formed team, designing products that have remained true to the brand identity all these years on, whilst also continuing to inject newness each season. She does all this whilst being one of the loveliest and most supportive people in this industry of ours, and being mum to her two boys, another thing I admire as I am soon to also became a mum of two boys! We may technically be competitors, but who says that we can’t still lift each other up? Thanks for everything you’ve unknowingly taught me Fleur, and long may you continue to be a brilliant role model for others starting out 🤩 Myself and Fleur are both proud members of Female Founders Rise, who inspired this post. If you’re feeling short on great female role models, this is the perfect place to start 🙌 #founderrecognition #femalefounder #womensupportingwomen #rolemodels

Founder & Head Coach at Matria | serving women navigating bold transitions to build intentional & aligned lives

Matria Just turned one! Here's the top 5 things I learned in my first year as a founder: 1️⃣ *This work is needed* Matria was built from an inner knowing that women need to be supported differently. We're ushering in the divine feminine—a concept that feels like coming home. Shaping the future of our culture is risky and vulnerable. Despite moments of self-doubt, every individual transformation reminds me how essential this work is. To sum the first point up: listen to your gut. 2️⃣ *Even coaches need coaching* I guide clients through transformation with ease, but finding and clearing my own blind spots without a coach slowed me down at times. This year, I’m actively building my team of advisors and coaches to support my growth—both personally and as the founder of Matria. 3️⃣ There is growing momentum for female founders, yet most still struggle to secure capital. And while I’m passionate about solving this problem, it’s not my top priority. There are some amazing women/groups tackling this head on, and I'll keep cheering them (groups like The Female Founder Collective, Female Founders Rise, Power To Pitch, Female Founders Fund 🙏🏼 ) We will continue to support the founders in our community by serving them as women. In turn, they can lead as empowered and balanced founders. 4️⃣ *"If you're everything to everyone, you're nothing to anyone."* My personal evolution has taught me that I can’t solve everyone’s problems, even if I want to. We have amazing offerings, *and* it’s time to niche down. 5️⃣ It’s also time to do more of what I love, and *bring you along with me* (Curious? Comment ⛵ if you want to learn more!!) Sending gratitude to everyone who supported Matria this year. Whether you made a connection, trusted me as your coach, referred a client or simply cheered us on from the sidelines, your support means the world. Cheers to Year 2!
