Angle PLC, the liquid biopsy experts, have revealed plans to generate roughly £10.56 million to help contribute towards the next generation of products and support the eventual roll out of its technology. When looking at the breakdown of the funding, around £3 million will be distributed to staff members and sequencing resources for developing molecular assay content. Eli Lilly announced a $5.3 billion investment in its manufacturing plant in Lebanon, Indiana, to expand the supply of its weight loss drug Zepbound, diabetes treatment Mounjaro, and other medicines. This brings the company's total investment at the site to $9 billion, making it Eli Lilly's largest manufacturing investment in its nearly 150-year history. The plant is expected to begin producing medicines by the end of 2026 and increase operations through 2028. The site will focus on manufacturing tirzepatide, the active ingredient in Zepbound and Mounjaro. The expansion aims to address the high demand and shortages of these drugs in the U.S. over the past year.
