🌈 PRIDE at DICE 🌈 As we celebrate Pride globally, it’s important to acknowledge the incredible contributions of the LGBTQIA+ community to the music industry, and our employees who make DICE everything that it is today.  👋 I’m Rasharn Powell, the DEI Community Manager at DICE. My core role is to manage our Employee Community Groups (ECGs), ensuring they feel supported, seen, and heard as they highlight the initiatives they care about throughout the year. Pride serves as a powerful reminder for us to recognise both the community’s achievements and struggles throughout history, while celebrating acceptance and unity. From Barcelona and Berlin Pride in July to the UK's Black Pride in August, our celebrations will span the next three months, during which you’ll hear from a number of our Pride365 ECG members who have offered to share their stories and recommendations with our LinkedIn audience. The Pride365 ECG creates an inclusive, safe space for LGBTQIA+ employees at DICE to thrive and provides a forum for important discussions. They strive to be the voice of the community--including employees, fans, artists, and partners--to bring awareness to LGBTQIA+ experiences and topics, driving respect, consideration, and care. ✨ With the support of the DEI team, our Pride365 ECG has planned some exciting events for our employees: - A Pride-themed breakfast supporting local LGBTQIA+ food vendors across our global offices 🍽️ - A Queer Culture Club offering educational opportunities to discuss relevant topics within the LGBTQIA+ community and film 🎬 🎞️ - Pride Parties at our London & New York offices, filled with music, dancing, and fabulous vibes, so our employees can express themselves through movement and fashion 🪩🕺 As the DEI Team, it is a joy to be able to celebrate our diverse communities at DICE and amplify moments like Pride. 🎉 #PrideAtDICE #LGBTQIA #Community #DEI #Pride365

On this final day of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we're highlighting some cultural recommendations from Lauren Moy, DICE's Designer in Marketing & Sales and first generation Cantonese-American, and Anik Chakder, our East Coast Account Manager and first-generation American raised by two Bangladeshi immigrants. Check them out below! ⬇ Anik’s 🍲 Favorite Food 🥘: Sichuan hot pot is my comfort food and has been an addiction of mine for the past 5 years that I cannot get over. It’s a social eating experience that's similar to Korean BBQ, and you never have the same experience twice. I don’t know why, but eating food out of a boiling flavorful broth feels like a hug. Anik's 🎥 Film Feature 🎬: Monkey Man (2024): It’s about time we got a brown John Wick (or action star). Dev Patel’s Monkey Man premiered this year and is a beautifully filmed action film. The fight choreography is ridiculous and the story is filled with Hindu/South Asian culture. Lauren & Anik’s 🎵 Music Recommendations 🎶:  - Lauren: Knock2 is one of my favorite trap artists because the energy from his music is infectious and just makes you want to bounce off the walls! My secret fitness hack is to play one of his sets during your cardio - it feels like you’re at a festival instead of working out. - Anik: I discovered MEMBA back in 2018 and have been listening to them ever since. The electronic duo has a sound that is heavily rooted in South Asian culture and makes for amazing workout music. Lauren & Anik's 🧃 Small Business Spotlight 🥤:  - Lauren: My close friend, Crystal Jiang, started The Juice Box Club to raise awareness for Asian culture and mental health through illustrated stationery designs. A big part of her brand story is overcoming the stigma of taking career risks as a first generation Asian American. I put her stickers on my bottle to motivate myself to drink water. - Anik: Lunar Seltzer is a New York based seltzer company that infuses Asian flavors into their drinks. They offer super unique flavors like Lychee, Korean Pear, Yuzu, and Passion Fruit and I promise you they are delicious. Lauren’s 🌸 Wellness Tip 🧘🏼:  Ondori Electrolytes is a brand of lychee-flavored electrolytes founded by Chris Truong, who was inspired by his exposure to the health risks of dehydration at his job as a firefighter and paramedic. He uses cleaner ingredients than the popular sports drinks with new flavors inspired by Asian culture. Anik & Lauren’s 🕺 DICE Show Recs 🎸:  - Anik: Chromebodies is an electronic artist project from Filipino artist Manila Killa and Indian artist Hotel Garuda. They started this side project flipping classic hits into dark techno bangers and their shows are a total party. https://bit.ly/4bRoaoO - Lauren: Yetep’s music is a genre called future bass. He also partners with local nonprofits in each city he tours to raise awareness for mental health. http://bit.ly/3Vm5hVr #DEI #AAPIHM #APAHM

Presented by DICE, Olivier will be joined by Luis Alcalá (PUMALU2/Churros con Chocolate) and Pablo Solberg (BRESH) to delve into why so many fans are booking tickets for club nights and events in advance rather than on the door, and how club owners can still sell out events without losing their essence. 📅 Thursday, May 30 🕒 11:30am - 12:30pm CEST ➡ Mirador 🗣 Spanish language https://lnkd.in/ee5TrEbZ #PrimaveraPro #Ticketing #Nightlife

As children of immigrants, and some immigrants themselves, identifying as Asian American means living with multiple layers of cultural perspectives. Meet Joomi P., DICE’s US Comms Manager, and Noelani Reyes, our Brand Partnerships Manager—both raised in small towns in the south and west coast respectively, where they navigated the duality of assimilation and their traditional heritage day to day. Hailing from Georgia, Joomi is fluent in Korean but also treasures her southern upbringing. Noelani was born in Jakarta, Indonesia and raised in Modesto, CA and is a passive speaker in Tagalog, meaning she understands the language fully but doesn’t speak it because her rooted Valley Girl accent could never. This week for Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, they’ve shared their lens on AAPI contributions below. We hope you’ll find some new or familiar favorites in this list! Noelani’s 🍲 Favorite Food 🥘: Longanisa (Filipino-Style Breakfast Sausage) is a breakfast that might just put you back to sleep, but one that always makes me feel like I’m back at home. Longanisa is a Spanish influenced sausage that is typically eaten for breakfast along with garlic rice, a fried egg and fresh tomatoes. Noelani’s 🎵 Artist Recommendation 🎶: H.E.R. is a 5 time Grammy Award winning, half Filipino, half Black, female artist from Vallejo, CA. She is a R&B powerhouse and is also known as a guitarist and producer. Joomi & Noelani's 📽️ Watch & Read Recs 📚 : - Joomi: Minari is a film that follows a Korean American family who moves to an Arkansas farm in search of their own American dream—and it had me weeping for all 115 minutes. While the beginning of the movie isn’t even sad, I was moved to tears to witness my own upbringing in the suburbs of Georgia reflected on the big screen. In the realm of books, I would highly recommend Pachinko by Min Jin Lee. - Noelani: Malaya: Essays on Freedom is a tear-jerker that you won’t be able to put down. Malaya is the story of a Filipina who moves to America for a better life and struggles with a history of abuse, but manages through it with hard work and her dreams of becoming an author...spoiler: her dreams are fulfilled. Joomi’s 👕 Featured Brand 🛍:  Sundae School is a Seoul and New York based smokewear and cannabis brand on a mission to globalize and destigmatize the plant. 🫂 Non-Profit Spotlight 💡: - Joomi: During the pandemic my friend Kenji Jones co-founded Soar Over Hate, a non-profit supporting AAPI communities. - Noelani: Wanted to give a shout out to some amazing shelters and initiatives against D.V. Being raised by a survivor, my mother has taught me the importance of being fiercely independent. All of Asian Women's Shelter’s work is rooted in an intersectional and anti-oppression framework. Special highlight to the Haven Women’s Center of Stanislaus, where my mom volunteers as a counselor. #DEI #AAPIHM #APAHM

Big news! Our Weirdly Easy campaign won the In-House Campaigns category in the Creative Review Annual Awards 2024! 🏆 🎉 Since 2014, DICE has been the ticketing alternative for live events. The idea for Weirdly Easy - created by the DICE Creative Studio, a new in-house content creation unit - came from a simple product truth: DICE makes going out easy. So easy, that it’s weird how not everyone is doing it our way yet. Judged by some of the creative industry’s most well-respected professionals, the Awards celebrate the very best creative thinking from the past year. It’s an honour to receive this recognition for the work of the whole DICE team behind Weirdly Easy. https://lnkd.in/eitvNf6q #CRAnnualAwards24 #CreativeIndustry #Ticketing

In celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we’re excited to highlight the incredible contributions of AAPI individuals in various fields, with a special focus on art and music. Each Thursday, you’ll hear from a DICE employee on their recommendations and cultural insights to recognize the rich culture and impact of Asian Americans to American society. This week’s round comes from Siu King (Richie) Quinto Barrera, our Global Financial Operations Manager, and Melissa Ng, our Senior Field Operations Agent! Richie & Melissa’s 🍲 Favorite Foods 🥘:  - Melissa: Buddha’s Delight is a staple vegetarian Chinese/Buddhist dish. It’s basically a blend of tofu, mushrooms, veggies, and mung bean noodles; my mom would make this for me often when I lived at home. To me, it’s a comfort dish and is so healthy! - Richie: Kare-Kare, the ultimate Filipino comfort food! A rich, savory peanut sauce hugging tender oxtails and tripe, veggies, and rice, all slow-cooked to perfection. It's like a warm hug for your taste buds. My favorite one is from Gerry's Grill.  Melissa’s 🎵 Music Recommendation 🎶: NYC’s very own Jai Wolf - a melodic future bass DJ who I’ve been following since the release of “Indian Summer” in 2015. If you’re looking for some music to make you nostalgic, cinematic, romantic, with a hint of melancholy all at once, Jai Wolf should be your go to. He’s playing on Elsewhere’s rooftop on June 28th. Buy tickets here! https://lnkd.in/e5aMMr7T Richie’s 📽️ Film Recommendation 🍿:  Promising new American Chinese director Sean Wang’s “Nǎi Nai & Wài Pó” was nominated for Best Documentary Short film at the 2024 Oscars. Melissa’s 🎷 Favorite Events 💃: The Red Pavilion in Bushwick is a self defined “Asian neo-noir cabaret & nightclub.” Each event celebrates Asian culture and ranges from PG jazz nights to more risque burlesque late nights. One of my favorite events is the Studio Ghibli jazz show! Richie’s 👕 Small Business Spotlight🥻: Roy Kuroyanagi, founder of Japangeles, creates some great Japanese American designs. Melissa's 🫂 Non-Profit Spotlight ❤️: Send Chinatown Love is an NYC based initiative that rose out of the pandemic to support, fund, and highlight the small immigrant owned businesses in Manhattan’s Chinatown. #AAPIHM #DEI
